The adventures of Emma rose

Chapter 6

As the leaves fall off the trees's and it starts to get colder
Emma rose and her grandmother were found inside decorating for this wonderful season.
Now that fall was over Emma had to buy a much bigger jacket to keep her warm so lucy was picking her up later.
But now for the fun part

Winter decorations
They changed the wreath to a slivery and blue
Added a nice snowflake garland on the small fireplace.
Emma made snowflakes on the windows
And they had lots of scented candles

"Ooohhhh smells like Chrismas " Emma said
"Not yet " grandmother

Emma remembered it was only November 2, hardly winter

"Looks like Lucy's here"- Emma cheered
Emma ran outside to see a white minivan pull up. 
" hey" Lucy said cheerfully. Emma could guess from the smile on Lucy's face that it was her favorite holiday to

It was also her moms favorite season .........

The girls rushed into the mall to find a big new store with a sign that read - GRAND OPENING
"That's cool "- Emma reported

The girls decided to walk in
The walls were painted lime green and there was lots of winter ish clothes
Boots , jackets , sweaters , jeans
This store had everything

The girls stood in amazement when they saw all the different colors of jackets . Dark green , hot pink , camel , black , dark blue , light blue , purple and so many colors filled the area

Emma quickly spotted a lime green and decided to buy it .
Since the girls has already purchased there coats and they still had an hour to kill , they explored target .

Emma laughed as Lucy stuck a blue snowflake wreath for your door , on her head.
" I'm the queen of winter " Lucy
said proudly
"That makes me the queen of fall"- Emma said picking up a fall wreath from the clearance rack

Later that night Emma sat on her bed emailing her mom. She knew her mom wouldn't respond but Emma felt better to give herself life updates
Dear Mom ,
I miss your more then ever
My new school is turning out great. And I have new friends
Gran is doing very well

"Ugh "
Emma jumped out of bed realizing what time it was. Monday morning at 6;55 am. This meant she over slept and had 20 minutes till the bus came .
Rushing Emma threw on a sweatshirt and quickly brushing her hair missing a ton of knots .
She threw On a head band , some boots and was out the door racing to the bus stop.  Just then the bus had came

Today in mrs parkers class the students learned about the history of thanksgiving.
Although Emma found this lesson quite boring she tried to pay attention .
Thanksgiving was coming up and she needed some ideas .

Later that day at home Emma and her grandmother put together a list of all the family members and friends coming to attend thanksgiving .
Aunt Lou Lou
Uncle Tom
Moms aunt corlie
Grandma
Lucy
And ruthie were invited to

Thinking of this list made Emma quite sad and she knew this was gonna be hard without mom.
So she plugged in some music and hung out for a while.

November 16
Ruthie and grandmother planned out the feast for thanksgiving.
Turkey ,ham , potatoes , green beans ,and some ice cream sundaes

Then they went grocery shopping for all the food. Which was a lot

November 25
1 day before thanksgiving
Grandma and Emma bought all the decorations and table setting for the old tiny dining room that was also
grandmothers bedroom.

Thanksgiving day
Emma spent the fall morning watching the parade on TV. Then she got dressed into a red dress with a big ribbon tied around it .
Time to cook the food
Emma put in a apron
And they begin cooking all the items on the list.

At 4 o'clock sharp all the guests began to arrive. Everyone was Suprised on how well it was organized.
Emma and her friends had a great time stuffing there faces.
And Emma was reunited with her family after her mother had left ( sorta)
