"Y/N, do you need help with the laces?"

Your best friend, Taehyung, looks toward you eagerly, his bowling shoes already tied on tight. You sat with him on one of the benches in the bowling alley and the other members were putting their shoes on around you both.

Today was a day off for the group and they had invited you to join them in a bowling game together, as you had been friends with all of them for a long time. You'd met them all through Taehyung, as you were both childhood friends.

You laugh and shake your head at him.

"Nah, I can do it myself. I'm not a baby, you know." You say, smiling fondly at him.

"I know! Just making sure." He replies, mumbling slightly.

You were about to open your mouth to answer when Jin sits down beside you and throws an arm around your shoulders. You were close with all of them but Jin especially, bonded by your love of junk food.

"She's not a baby, she's a lady Tae. Don't insult our lady." He says, smiling at you.

"I wasn't, I was just-"

"Lady?! She's about as ladylike as a gorilla." Jimin cuts in, running over and sitting next to Taehyung. You roll your eyes at him.

"Yeah, well, Jimin you got no-"

"Jams. Yeah I know. It's not like I've never heard that before. Maybe it's time to get a new joke." Jimin replies.

You were about to retaliate when Namjoon joins your group and stands above you, all business like. Yoongi and Hoseok stand beside and Jungkook, behind.

"Come on guys, this is serious business. It's time." Namjoon says, his voice low.

"Namjoon, it's a bowling game. It's not that serious." You look up at him.

"Y/N. I don't think you understand the importance of this game. Losing team cleans the dorm for a month. That's important." He replies.

"Or we could just get Jimin to do it." Tae says. You laugh and he turns to you, looking smug at having made you laugh. Jimin, on the other hand, rolls his eyes.

"Let's split into teams. Dibs on Y/N's team." Jin says and he pulls you closer to him.

"Same here!" Taehyung shuffles closer to you.

"Guess I'm with you guys on the gorillas team." Jimin says. His voice was grumpy but when you turned to look at him, he gives you a small wink.

"Great. Equal teams. Let's start this." Namjoon walks away dramatically with Yoongi and Hoseok while Jungkook jogs to catch up with them.

"Jeez, talk about intense." You mutter, standing up. Jin and Tae stand up with you and Jin's arm falls off your shoulders. Him and Jimin walk away to get bowling balls, leaving you and Tae standing at the mouth of the alley.

He suddenly turns to you, holding your arm and looking at you.

"I didn't insult you earlier, right? I didn't mean to." He says anxiously.

"What? No, of course not! Why are you so nervous today?" You ask.

"I, uh... I'm not so good at bowling. I feel like I'm gonna mess up." He admits.

"Ohh. Don't worry, I'm not so good either." You reply, taking his hand. Tae sighs in relief and relaxes a little, squeezing your hand.

"H-hey listen, I was wondering if you wanted... I don't know, I mean you don't have to..." He trails off and you look at him curiously.
