"NO!" Rachel, Helen and I shrieked in unison.

Rigan crumbled to the ground and started to screech and scream, twisting and turning in very disturbing ways. Rachel and Helen revealed themselves and ran over to her, soon followed by me. The next thing I knew was a pain a tousand times worse than James breaking my leg, which had already started to mend itself, and I dropped to the floor in agony.

"BELLA!" Rigan shrieked, glass smashing with her emotion overload. "No! No! No! Will one of you animi go and help her for the love of God's sweaty socks?!"

I was already slipping into unconsciousness when Rachel arrived at my side. She looked even more faint than she had done before and I too twisted and turned as the vampire venom cascaded around my body, fighting my Mordain side, trying to mix with it.

"Bella!" Rigan kept screaming. "Someone save her goddamn it!"

"What about yourself?" Helen demanded.

"I honestly could care less!"

Alice was at my side and Rachel's, but somehow, Alice did not see Rachel's presence. "Bella, Bella," she kept saying. "It's okay. I'm here. It's okay." She then looked up, a horrified expression appearing on her face. "Carlisle! He's bitten both of them!"

I managed to watch Jasper and Emmett drag James away from Edward, who had savagely ripped a large chunk from James's neck, and into the middle of the room. Helen had carried Rigan over and placed her next to me. When I saw her, Rigan looked much more healthier than she had before; her hair and face had regained all their color. But something seemed off.

"What's happening to her?" Alice asked.

"It's her Mordain power," Carlisle said. "It's taking control of the vampire venom; it's using it to its own advantage. It's not turning Rigan into an Ice Category."

"Can we still save them?" Edward asked, his voice absolutely devastated.

"For Rigan, it's too far in," Carlisle said sadly. "But we can still save Bella."

"Start a fire!" I heard Emmett shouted. "Get the floor boards, Jazz."

We'll help with that, Helen said.

Immediately, a red-orange-yellow fire sprang up from the pile of floorboards that Jasper had quickly gathered together.

"My head is burning!" I shrieked.

"Join the club, sis!" Rigan shouted.

"Edward, yoou're going to have to make a choice," Carlisle said.

"No," Edward said. "I can't."

"Whether you like it or not, Ed, it's going to happen," Alice said. "I've seen it. Sooner or later, Bella will be one of us."

"Carlisle, what's my other option?" Edward asked,

"To suck out the venom," Carlisle answered.

"Are you dement?!" Rigan snarled and then shrieked some more in pain. Regaining herself, she said, "You might as well have fed her to James!"

There is another way, Rachel said. Helen and I have saved a few Mordains from Ice vampire venom.

Let's do it, Helen agreed.

I felt a sudden surge of power go through my body. Then a silver ball of energy the size of two soccer balls appeared where Rachel and Helen kneeled. They both opened their arms and the balls of energy broke apart into multiple silver particles and releasing waves of silver energy that expanded outwards and into my body. Where once there was a torturing pain, now there was a soothing feeling.
