what legion to join is the biggest question. the mp's, they laze around relishing in their easy lives, they serve the king, and stomp on the good citezens of the walls. the garrison, they re enforce and keep order within the walls, most of them can be seen drinking on duty, they have a relitively easy life, but it doesn't come close to the military police life style. the scouts, they fight for humanity, but joining them is basically suicide, they stood for freedom, hence the wings insignia adorning the breast pocket of their uniform.

i nevously looked around the other cadets who were focusing on commander shadis as he called the names of the top ten, counting down from ten to one. each name was called out loudly and clearly so the cadet could hear and go up to the stage.

"number ten, Karma Elis, nine, Devon Alsner, eight, Faith Korban, seven, Jason Brand, six, Lacy Utand, five, Toni Elis, four, Vivian Doicher, three, Sebastian Diglis, two, Lukas Fox, and the first graduating cadet is," Shadis paused, at this point in time i'm walking away, knowing that the last, and first cadet of the 105th trainees squad will not be Alexis-

my thoughts were cut off by Shadis shouting the last name who was in fact, "Alexis Enjel!" those two names registered in your mind and you froze. Alexis Enjel, he said Enjel, but that didn't make any sense, because my last name was Enjel.

"cadet Enjel! move that sorry ass of yours up here before i make you run laps until you collapse!" Shadis yelled at my frozen form, every cadet and superior was looking at me strangely. once i came back to reality i scurried up past everyone else who was in the top ten and stood to the right of Lukas, who gave a congrats smile. i said nothing to the boy, instead you took an interest with the tie around my neck.

the tie was something that my father gave to me before i left for three years to train as a soldier. it was a dark blue that i personally hated, a diamond of lighter blue formed at the bottom, and to top it off a white stripe formed at the northern point of the diamond continuing around the whole length of the smooth cloth. the tie was my grandfathers and was given to my father before grandpa passed.

i was so sucked into my own thoughts i didn't hear Shadis dismiss the cadets. i was once again roughly pulled back to reality as Lukas hit me upside the head to catch my attention.

"bloody hell Fox!what was that for?!" i knew Lukas pretty well, he was a pervert that liked to mess with peoples heads. he grins at me in triumph for getting my attention. he grabs my arm and starts dragging me to the mess hall.

"about time you wake up angel, come on! lets go get drunk with everyone else!" he laughs carelessly. i never understood why he called me angel, it was pronounced Enjel. i ignored the pet name like i always did and started complaining to him instead.

"Lukas, i don't drink. let me go, i want to go sleep," i whined quietly.

"nope! you need a drink Alexis, i can see you're stressing out over choosing, so cut loose a little!" he laughs again, causing me to groan. we arrive at the mess hall and Lukas sits me down at a table asking the Elis twins to make sure i don't run off. karma and Toni sit on opposite sides of me, and smirk at the grumpy expression on my face. they look exactly the same, no difference in the shades of blond atop their heads, none in their striking hazel eyes, and none in the smirks they still wore. completely identical in every way but one, karma has a scar on his hand from a 3dmg blade incident but Toni does have a stronger work ethic than his brother, so he was higher on the list at number five.

"so, Enjel, where are you going?" karma asked while slurping down some whiskey. neither of them were drunk, but they weren't in their rational mind sets either.

"don't know," i say to them.

"you're in the top ten, number one in fact, i thought you were going to go for the sweet life in the interior, why ya havin' second thoughts?" Toni asked this time.

"because i never wanted to go to the interior in the first place, all the mp's do is kiss the ass of the king and step on all of the citizens, but now that its a possibility, i'm starting to think more. what about you guys? where are you going?" i mumbled loud enough to hear. they exchanged a look and nodded.

"we go where you go," they said in unison, softly smiling. i give them a quizzical look that demanded an explanation.

"you see, we grew up with you-" karma started.

"and we followed you to train as soldiers-" Toni continued.

"you got us through graduation, so as thank you for everything up to this point, we are your loyal servants!" they yelled dramatically in unison, they bowed to you like slaves while yelling out things like 'we will serve you no matter the request!', and 'we will follow you to the ends of the earth!' is it too late to say that they are completely and utterly drunk out of their minds?

heyo! thought id start something new since i do watch other anime besides hetalia, but there are just some characters in shingeki no kyojin that make me want to punch my tv so yeah, enjoy this chapter and i'll try to get the next one out tomorrow bai now!
