Soo Hee's pov

It was a high-pitched scream. It sounded like the person screaming was a girl but I could tell who it was in matter of seconds as it was coming from the kitchen and I knew for a fact that the person in the kitchen was not a girl.

I silently cursed as I jogged over to my phone which had hit the wall after it had 'accidentally' slipped off from my hand and carefully inspected the almost flat rectangular device.

Thank the donuts that there were no cracks being made on the phone and I, in relief, got up and tossed my phone gently onto the bed.

Remembering what I had heard coming from the kitchen, I bolted out of my room at full speed towards Ken oppa whose body that was visible just partially from my view and I saw him squatting down on the other side of the counter.

As I got closer, I could hear him hissing in pain and noticed his right hand wrapped tight around a finger on his left hand.

His actions confused me until I saw blood gushing out of the finger- the one he had his right hand squeezed onto. My eyes widened and I panicked. "Oppa what happened?" I asked almost screaming out of fear mixed with panic.

He looked up at me, still grasping tightly onto his bleeding finger and giggled nervously but nevertheless, didn't say anything else.

I frantically looked around for an emergency kit and finally found it in one of the cabinets. I snatched it out of its compartment and unclipped the kit open after putting it on the counter.

I looked at Ken again to see the blood flowing out this time has lessened. "We gotta get your finger washed first" I spoke pulling onto his hand carefully towards the sink with the water running.

Hearing that coming out of my mouth, he instantly pulled his hand back. "But i-it'll sting..." he mumbled looking down.

I silently sighed. I knew convincing him to get his finger cleaned wasn't gonna be an easy thing.

"I know, but it's to wash the bacteria away. If I just simply put the ointment on straight away, it might hurt even more" I breathed out.

"Really?" he squeaked. If it wasn't for this situation we were in right now, I would've jumped up and down fangirling like crazy. Seeing that there was no time reserved for me to do so, I chose to put aside that thought for now.

"Yes, really" I nodded. After a lot of fuss, he finally gave in and let me wash his bleeding finger. He flinched and hissed at the stinging pain but that was all.

After I was done putting ointment and bandaged his finger, I decided to take over, not letting Ken continue cooking his said family recipe.

I wasn't exactly good at cooking but I wasn't bad at it either. I slipped on the apron around my neck and started chopping the onions that were half chopped.

"By the way uhh uhm oppa, how did you manage to get your finger to bleed?" I asked in an attempt to start a light conversation and glanced behind me at Ken who I made to sit on the stool near the counter.

"I was cutting up an onion when suddenly it just flew out of my hand. I tried to catch it but I totally forgot about the knife that was occupying my other hand. The knife grazed over the finger so yeah, that's how it happened" he explained, his voice growing slower towards the end in embarrassment.

I smiled widely as I finished chopping up the onions and held in the laugh that was threatening to come out.

30 minutes later...

I succeeded in making kimchi fried rice and served it onto two plates. "Wow! Smells good..." Ken oppa commented inhaling the smell of the kimchi fried rice.

He began eating the one on his plate quietly and I did the same after taking a seat in front of him. "Who taught you how to make this? This is as good as Leo's" Ken oppa asked.

I mentally rolled my eyes. He sure does know how to flatter people... "I taught myself" I replied honestly glancing at him. His eyes widened and then he eyed me.

"Aayyeee are you sure you taught yourself 'cause this thang is just too good" he said pointing at his plate.

I nodded. "I couldn't believe it too the first time I made it but I really did"

"Okay I believe you. When was it? -The first time you learned how to make this? "he asked again.

"Just now" I replied nonchalantly. "Seriously?" he cocked his eyebrows. "I know... it's not believable but yes, seriously" I said as I laughed at his reaction.

"So you're one of those people who have magic hands huh?" he said wiggling his eyebrows. (A/N: Please don't think about 'that'. It's not like that at all)

"Not exactly" I shook my head slowly.

I remembered what I had to ask him.

"I almost forgot, there's something important I left at home and my mum said she could bring it and give it to me tomorrow. Sooooo is it okay if I go out tomorrow?" I asked Ken oppa, silently hoping that he'll give his permission.

"It's important so why not? Do you need me to come with you tomorrow?" he asked. "No it's fine, it's just the place nearby here that we went to this afternoon, it's not far" I explained.

"If you say so, but don't be back too late okay? I'm worried something might happen to you" he reminded me as his eyes softened. I literally had to ball up my hands into fists to prevent myself from bursting into happy fireworks.

I nodded. "Thank you"

"No worries" he flashed me his eye smile that could've made me melt right then and there if he wasn't in front of me.
