Chapter Thirty

I was is utter shock, the way Tanner said that girls name was full of emotion, it just sounded so raw, so real. I tilted my head to look at his face and what I saw shocked me even more, there are tears in his eyes, and he still was looking at the woman, Rebeca, more accurately. I honestly didn't know what to do, they were staring at each other so intensely, they were so lost into each other. So I got out of Tanners grasp, which had gone slack, and started to run again. I don't know what came over me, it felt like I was going to be sick if I looked at them one second more. I got about 10 feet before someone grabbed me by the arm and flipped me towards them, it was Tanner.
"What do you want." I spat with attitude, ripping my arm out of him strong grip. He looked a little hurt, but that was soon replaced by anger.
"What do you mean, what do I want, you were about to run off again!" He roared, the tips of his ears turning red in anger.
"Wow, you actually noticed I was leaving, I didn't think you would the way you were staring at the girl!" I yelled back, feeling my own temper flaring.
"Well sorry, for being shocked that someone I thought was dead was standing right in front of me!" He bellowed, his face and gone red with rage.The anger instantly drained out of my body, the girl, that was her, the one Tanners mom was talking about, that fucking super model was Tanners ex girlfriend.
"W-what?" Was all I could muster,my brain was going 100 miles a hour,
"You heard me, that's the woman I thought I got killed, you still feel like running off now? Well the go, I won't stop you this time!" Tanner screamed taking a few steps back, trying to control himself, he ran his hands down his face and groaned. I didn't know what to reply with, so I walked up to him and pulled him into a hug, he was stiff at first but then relaxed into the embrace. His shoulders started to shake and I new he was crying, my heart broke, but I had to be strong, strong for Tanner.
"As cute as this is, I came here on a job, and I need to finish it." Rebeca mocked, Tanner slowly pulled away from me and looked at Rebeca.
"What do you mean?" His eye brows furrowed in confusion, his tears now gone,
"Her brother sent me to beat the living shit out of her, she embarrassed him in front of a couple gang leaders, he wasn't to happy about that." She said with a slight smirk.
"What were you doing with your brother?" Tanner asked slightly turning to me
"When I left earlier, he found me walking at look me to one of his meet ups, he still wants me to take over the gang." I explain to Tanner but before he could say anything Rebeca yelled
"What! He wants you to take over the gang, this is who he was pushing me back for!" She had anger in her eyes, and if looks could kill I would be 6 feet under.
"Your Leo's daughter?" I ask my eye brows lifting in surprise. "Yeah, why is that such a shocker?" She spat as if I just called her shirt ugly.
"I don't know, he's so...and you're so..." I couldn't come up with words, they were just total opposites, or at least it looked that way. "Well, at least I know you don't want to the job, so why don't you just tell your brother to let me have it." She said playing with the ends over her hair, looking bored.
"I tried, he won't take no for a answer." I explained.
"Whatever, I came here for a job." She rushed out before launching her self on me, this took me by surprise, I fell backward landing on the hard sidewalk. She started to punch me in the face my noes started to bleed, when I finally came to my senses I pushed her off me and tackled her, swinging at anything I could hit, I got a few good punches before I was pulled off of her.
"What are you doing, let me fucking beat her ass!" I scream trying to get out of the iron grip that was around my waist. I look up to see that Rebeca to see she was also being restrained but Tom. When we both calmed down Tanner spoke,
"Would you two just quit, we all just need to calm down and talk about this." He didn't sound like he was happy.
"Shes the one that came after me." I mumble like a small child you got in trouble. "What are you? Five?" Rebeca spat looking at me with a smirk.
"What if I am?!" I spat with venom. I know its not the best come back but I still couldn't think straight.

"You both are acting five!" Richard bellowed about 15 feet away from where we all stood. We all whipped our heads in his direction. He was slowing walking towards us, with a slight limp. That's when I noticed the blood covering his pant leg.

"I gave you one simple job and you cant even complete that, how do you expect me to hand my gang over to you." Richard tutted Rebeca with a slight shake of his head, giving her a false sympathetic smile.

"It was rightfully mine in the first place." Rebeca grumbled, her confidence crumbling.

"Do you really want to have this little talk again, do you remember what happened last time." Richard cooed with a sickly sweet smile. I saw the fear that flashed into Rebeca's and I saw how she kept her mouth shut.

"As I was saying, You really shouldn't have embarrassed me like that, in front of all those important people, I sent Becca here to teach you a little lesson.. but it seems she failed...I'm going to give you one more opportunity, or I might have to do something I will later regret." He finished with the shaking of his head, how could I have trusted this man once before he has turned in to such a monster.

"And for the last time I will not accept your offer." I said firmly, stepping out of Tanners grip. Richard shook his head before pulling out a gun from his belt loop, aiming it at my head. I straightened my back and held my head high.

"You wont do it." I say looking straight into his hazel eyes.

A/N: Hey guys, I know its been a long time sense Ive updated, I was at a huge block, but I think I got over it... there wont be many more chapters (5 at most) but I wanted to give my readers hope that I will finish this book!!! Im also sorry for the cliff hanger... okay not really... but I am, I love all of you, so much and I want to thank you all for staying with me!!!
