I knew I was wrong the second the words left my mouth. The longer I stared into his eyes the more I came to realized that this man was no longer my brother, no longer the person I trusted with my life.

"Things have changed a lot sense Ive been gone, little sister." He commented clicking the gun off safety. I didn't move a muscle, knowing that it would be my last move.

"That they have." I agreed with the monster standing in front of me. Neither of us broke eye contact but I knew the smallest movement could end my life. The metal of the heavy gun tucked into my sweats felt cold against my back, I felt the weight of the dagger I had stashed in my pant leg growing heavier as the tension grew steadily.

"Now, let me make the final offer, will you take over--"

"She already told you no!" Gina yelled from behind me, Richard let his guard down to look at Gina, that's when I grabbed the knife and threw it at this foot. The sound of ripping flesh told me I had hit home, I quickly grabbed my gun and clicked it into place, aiming it at my brothers heart, all in one swift motion. My heart was beating fast as I did this, hoping he wouldn't pull the trigger out of panic.

"You are one sneaky bitch." Richard seethed not moving his aim from in between my eyes.

"One move and I shoot." I said, my voice surprisingly steady, strong, promising. He locked eyes with me, I didn't look away, telling him I wasn't lying.

"Apparently a lot has changed." He said, his face grim. "But not enough." He quickly finished before lowering his gun point, he fired.

Everything turned to slow motion, I saw every movement, I saw the bullet head straight for my heart. I tried to jump, to roll to do something...but my feet seemed to be rooted in the grass, just as the bullet got within a foot of me I came to my senses. I ducked and rolled out of where I was standing. I got back up to my feet and fired three times, one bullet grazing his leg, one missing completely, and the third hitting him in the gut.

"Looks like we both proved each other wrong." Richard grunted holding his side, trying to keep his blood in. I then felt the burning pain in my side. I look down to see blood pouring out of a hole in my side. I clamp my hand over it with a groan.

"No, I knew you were a monster." I said giving up my strong act. He raised an eyebrow before replaying "Oh?" He tilted his head to the side.

"The moment you took me from that house...you didn't do it to save me, you did it to use me." I stated, knowing I wasn't wrong, the look he gave me proved my words.

"I'm trying to help you...you just don't see that yet." He stumbled over his words, he was breathing heavily, looking faint. Sweat was gathering on his forehead, his breathing increased.

"I don't care what you have to say, you're dead to me." I say turning away from him. I dropped my gun with shaky hands and started to walk to the house, I already heard the sirens wailing towards this direction.

My vision was dancing with black dots but I was determined to get to the front door, and inside the house. I stumbled a bit but I made it. I reached up to push the door open when I saw how much blood covered my hand, I ignored it and pushed my way into the house, I got to the kitchen before I collapsed. I didn't pass out like I thought I would, instead I laid there thinking of all the happy moments I had in life, all the times I laughed and smiled. I couldn't hear anything over the pulsing of my blood and I hurt to much to open my eyes, at this moment I was at complete bliss. I decided it as okay to take a little nap...I saw a blinding light through my eye lids. I tried to blink it away but that only made it worse.
