The Next America: Kid America

Entry Six- Hide and Seek

    You may be wondering how well I did in the flying suit of death (AKA FSD). Well... you could say that Tony's suit wasn't fully charged to 100%. So I had to carry him all the way there. When me and Tony got there, I got out of the suit and he did as well. Then we were both sworn to secrecy that we wouldn't tell anybody of that mishap.

    After I swore to secrecy Tony let me sit down on the couch and gave me a box of pizza to eat as we watched the game- baseball game, I mean. I don't know which baseball team he liked (if he liked any), but he was cheering for my favorite team with me- the Yankees.

    A little while after the game was over. We didn't get to watch the beginning. But hey, the Yankees beat the Red Sox the first time this year. Tony turned the TV off and walked over to his small bar he had.

    "Do you want anything to drink, Cody?" He asked me as he poured himself a glass of something.

    "Water would be great." I replied nodding my head slightly.

    He nodded his head and started to get me some. A minute later he walked back to the couch and handed me a glass filled with water. I thanked him and then started to drink it. He sat down beside me on the couch and turned the TV on again. He kept switching channels because nothing good was on.

     After a couple minutes he handed me the remote to go get himself what I found out later was water. I guess he didn't drink around kids, or somebody may have taken away his vodka and all. I kept switching through the channels until I found a good TV show- Wipeout.

    Tony jumped onto the couch when he saw this on. I took another sip of my water before I set it on the table behind me, and got more pizza. When another person got onto the giant balls and just bounced all over them, I couldn't help myself but laugh. I laughed even harder when the person actually made to the end.

    "T-that's impossible!" Tony tried to say as he laughed his head off.

    "I know right?" I laughed.

   Tony and I couldn't stop laughing at that for a couple minutes, and that's when he phone went off. He checked it and stood up. He put his phone back into his back pocket and turned off the TV.

    "I think we should clean up quickly." He said taking the glasses and putting them on the bar counter. I nodded my head and picked up the empty pizza box. I held it up and he pointed out the window on the balcony.

     I looked a little perplexed, but put the pizza box on the balcony by the wall like he told me to do. I heard a ding. We each paused and looked at each other. He pointed to a door and we both started to running to it. He got in before me, but we were both able to get in before the elevator door opened.

    Tony closed the door. The room was mostly dark- aside from the light from his arc reactor. I could sort of see his hand as he motioned me to stay quiet. I nodded my head and opened my phone which was on mute. I typed 'Who is it?', on my phone. I showed him the message and he got out his phone and started to type something.

    He showed me the message. I looked closely at the message and it said, 'PP'. I looked confused for a moment before I heard a voice.

    "Tony?" A women yelled looking around for him. It finally made sense to me.

    Pepper Pots.

   I opened the door even though he tried to pull me back in. I walked toward Pepper with a smile on my face.

  "Hi you must be Pepper," I started to say as I shook her hand. "I have heard so much about you from Tony."

   She smiled back and started to look around. "Where is Tony?" She asked me.

   "In the closet," I replied with a calm voice. I turned around to see that he had closed the door again.

    "That's where you just came from."

   "Tony said to get in there because an intruder was coming. He was wrong." We both laughed a little bit as she walked to the door and opened it.

   I stayed where I was and peeked in there and saw Tony sitting on a stool reading a book. He looked up and saw Pepper.

   "What are you doing?" She asked, he looked at me and I just shrugged. He looked back at Pepper.

    "I thought we were playing hide and seek." He hopped off the stool.

    "Right..." Pepper rolled her eyes. He exited the closet and sat back on the couch. Then Pepper looked at me.

    "You must be Cody then... am I right?" I nodded my head as I sat down on a stool by the bar.

   "Okay then, Cap, Natasha, and Clint wanted me to let you two know they are back at SHIELD headquarters and they are reporting what happened to Nick Fury. I have to go for tonight but I know a Thor and Bruce are coming here and we be here shortly." She said before giving Tony a small kiss and leaving.

    That left me and Tony alone again. I looked at the elevator as I started going down. "Should I go get the pizza box?"

   "Yup," he replied back to me and I went to go get it.
