Jason's pov

I'm driving to my latest concert with my wife, Brittany and twin girls, Miranda and Sierra in the car. The twins are rocking out to one of my songs. It's adorable seeing them. "Are you excited? You're gonna get onstage with me tonight." They both scream in excitement. I laugh then hear a car horn honk. I look back out the windshield and scream as an 18 Wheeler comes barreling towards us!! "Hold on girls!" I can hear the three year olds screaming. This time not in happiness. In terror. I spin the wheel, fear gripping me as we crash into a brick wall and everything fades to black.

*later*

I wake up in the hospital, my head pounding and my whole body throbbing. But wait! Where are the girls!? I call for a nurse and one runs in. "Oh you're awake!" "Yeah, where are my girls?" I ask, wincing in pain. "Your wife is dead. I'm sorry." I stare at her in shock. She can't be dead! "What about the twins? Please tell me my babies are okay?!" "There weren't any babies in the car." "They're not babies. They're three years old." "All that were there was you and her." That doesn't make any sense! My twins! Where are they? What happened to them!? "How long was I out?" "Several months." No!! They could be anywhere by now!!

Sierra's pov

I'm awoken by twin sister crying out and shaking. "Daddy?! Daddy?! Where are you!?" She screams. I hug her tightly and she cries on my shoulder. "Where are we?" She whispers, looking around. I don't have a clue. We both stand up and walk, reaching a road. 3 crosses are planted in the ground. "What happened?" I whisper, staring at the crosses. "Where's daddy and mommy?" I hug my sister tighter. "I don't know." A flashlight beam shines on us and we both scream and look over. A woman stands there. "W-Who are you?" "My name's Carol. You girls must be terrified and hungry." We both nod.

*3 years later*

Carol's pov

The saddest thing they've completely forgotten their old lives since they were so young. Now I have no chance of finding out who their parents are. They think I'm their mom. I sigh and ruffle their hair as they get ready for school.

Jason's pov

Sadness washes over me because today is the anniversary of Brittany's death and the girls' disappearances. I hope their at least safe and happy. I'm only wishful thinking. They probably died that day too. Why'd I live. I wish I died with my family. I visit the crosses like I do every year. Luke stands by my truck. "Man, it's been 3 years, they're long gone by now." "Don't you think I don't know that?!" He pats my shoulder. I sigh. "Let's get to the show." He says.

*after the show*

Empty house, empty rooms, empty box of a six pack. Nothing is going to make me feel better but my girls. I flip through the channels, coming across the news. "3 year long search for two twin girls, Miranda and Sierra. They might've come up with a new lead." I jump up, staring at the screen. A new girl comes on the screen. "I've been looking for the parents of these girls. I found them 3 years ago." Then they come on screen and I nearly faint. My girls. My babies. There. Alive! "Mommy, what's going on?" Sierra asks. Tears fill my eyes hearing them call that woman mommy. But then again she's taken care of them for the past 3 years. They wouldn't remember anything. I call into the news station. "Those are my girls. I'm watching onscreen now! I had a wreck and they went missing. All this time I thought they were dead!" "Sir unless you have some proof that you're the father." How?! I go up to the news station. "How do I show proof?" The woman walks by. I grab her arm. "Where are my girls?" "What? Who are you?" "I'm their father! I've been searching for them for 3 years!" I'm so desperate to see the girls again but I'm probably putting myself further behind. I let go of her. "Sorry. I shouldn't have grabbed you. I'm just so.... I just want to..... I need to find them." "Show me some proof that you're their father and I'll let you see them." Wait! I know how. I pull out my wallet and show her the pictures. "That's them 3 years ago at one of my shows. I'm a singer." "This doesn't prove your their father. Anyone can have a photograph of children." She says. No! She starts to walk away. My pace quickens. "Guards remove him from the premises." "No! I am their father! I am! Please!" Someone grabs my arms. He tases me and I hit my knees. The woman opens a door and I see the girls. "Sierra, Miranda!" I cry, reaching for them but someone hits me in the head and all goes black, just like the first time I lost them.
