Catherine hurried out of her home with a massive smile on her face, she was so happy that Gabriella had come to stay with them for the holidays; she was still surprised that Joe would also be joining them.

"Mum," Gabriella greeted moving to hug her mother as best she could, she felt huge and they were so close now to her due date; she peeked at Joe hoping that they didn't have any issues.

Joe collected their bags and moved towards the house, he was thankful that Gabriella's parents had agreed to let him come and spend Christmas with them; he was going to be busy with Manchester City and he was going to be traveling a lot with the team.

"How is my grandbaby?" Catherine gushed excited about the impending birth, she couldn't wait for the baby to be born and she already had a room set up in the house ready.

Gabriella smiled knowing that she was happy to be here with her parents, she couldn't imagine what Christmas in Manchester would have been like with everything that had happened.

There had been pictures posted that morning of Georgina back in Manchester, it was the first time that she had been seen since things had officially ended between her and Joe.

There was speculation that Georgina was trying to get back together with Joe, she had been seen in places that Joe was known to frequent and that alone made Gabriella nervous.

The last thing that Gabriella wanted was more trouble, things were just settling down and she was getting closer to giving birth; she couldn't imagine what she would do if Joe got back together with Georgina.

Gabriella knew that she didn't really have any claim to Joe, he was nothing more than the father of her unborn child even if she did have feelings for him; she doubted that he felt the same way about her.

"So Joe tell me about your family," Charles asked sipping on his drink, he wanted to get to know more about the man that was going to be the father of his first grandchild and things had certainly changed since they had first met.

Joe cleared his throat and set down his cup, he was getting better at speaking with Gabriella's father and he hoped that in time that they wouldn't continue to be this awkward.

"My father's names Charles and I'm named after him," Joe started knowing that sooner or later, the two sets of parents would have to meet; he wasn't sure what to expect when that moment came and he hoped that they got along well.

Charles stared at Joe for a moment, he hadn't been expecting that since he had been sure Joe's first name had been Joseph; he sat quietly trying to wrap his head around how confusing this was all going to get.

"My dad wanted my first name to be the same, but he didn't want anyone to get confused when our names were called so I'm called by my second name..." Joe explained knowing what Charles was thinking, his daughter was going to have two Grandpa Charles and he hoped they'd be able to sort it out.

Joe peeked over at Gabriella who was talking with her mother, he had noticed how much he seemed to look at her since she had passed the thirtieth week of pregnancy; time was running out and soon their daughter would be born.

"No one calls me Charles," Joe reassured knowing that his real first name was pretty pointless, he was Joe Hart or even Joseph Hart and he hoped it stayed that way; he had no idea what he was going to do when his daughter was born.

"That's a lot of Charles," Charles joked softly, he couldn't believe it and he never would have guessed that this would happen; he sipped on his drink as Gabriella sat down next to Joe.

It hadn't escaped her parents notice how close Gabriella seemed with Joe, they weren't surprised that the two of them seemed to be getting closer; it only worried them what would happen if things didn't work out. "

I'm Charles, your father's Charles, you're a Charles... please tell me you're not going to name the baby Charlotte," Gabriella's father mumbled watching his daughter, he doubted that there was going to be a time that no one would be confused by this situation.

Gabriella and Joe shared a smile, they had done a lot of talking recently and had finally decided on a name for their daughter; even if Gabriella did get the final choice on the middle name.

"We actually already have the name picked," Gabriella revealed resting a hand on her bump, she had wanted to be prepared since she had no idea just when their little bundle of joy would show up.

Joe was worried enough that he would miss the birth of their daughter, January was going to be an important time for Manchester City and Joe was expected to be playing in every match that came up.

"You have a name picked," Catherine said sitting down surprised that they had been able to agree on one, she was so curious and she wanted to know what her granddaughter was going to be called.

Joe and Gabriella shared a look, they had planned on waiting a little while to reveal the name but they doubted that it could hurt telling Gabriella's parents.

"Elena Hart... we're still deciding on a middle name," Joe said smiling, he couldn't wait to hold little Elena in his arms and he had done a lot of thinking when it came to his daughter's name.

Catherine smiled at the name, she loved it and she was sure that it would suit her granddaughter perfectly when she was born; the days would fly by when it came down to it.

Joe stepped into the bedroom where he would be spending the night, he sighed closing the door behind him and he knew that the next couple of days were meant to be relaxing for him.

Moving to check his mobile, Joe frowned at the messages that Georgina had sent to him and he wondered which one of his team-mates had given her his new number; he had changed it after they had broken up and it had been three months since things had ended between them.

Joe shook his head, he had no intention of getting back together with Georgina and he knew that if he did then it would ruin things between him and Gabriella; he wanted to focus on the baby that was due in a matter of weeks.

It had taken a lot for Joe to officially end things with Georgina, he would never be able to trust her again and the rumours that continued to grow about her were far from getting better.

Joe slowly stripped off so that he could get ready for bed, he wasn't sure when he would see Georgina again but he wasn't looking forward to it; he could only imagine what she would do and he wasn't going to let her mess things up.

Climbing into bed, Joe thought about Elena and he knew that he wasn't going to ever let his daughter down; he couldn't wait for her to be born and he hoped that it was an easy birth.

Joe had plans on being right next to Gabriella when she gave birth to their daughter, there were several matches in January and he hoped that the club would understand if he couldn't be there instead wanting to be there when his daughter was born.

Joe wanted nothing more than to help in any way that he could, he was so looking forward to becoming a father and nothing was going to take that away from him.
