I got off the train, my luggage with me. A taxi was waiting for me. We drove for about 30 minutes before I saw a sign saying Welcome to Crescent Dale, Population: 3678.

The road was wide and surrounded with large trees on each side, as we entered the small town, I noticed that it didn't have any huge flashy buildings. Just small cafés and shops, and the necessary buildings in each town.
The castle was isolated from the town in a way I guess you can say. I could now see the castle clearly, it stood on a hill, surrounded by tall trees and a wall surrounding it. Marking its territory. The taxi entered through giant black metal gates and drove for a couple of minutes before it stopped in front of the entrance doors. Every detail about the castle seemed old yet it seemed strong and well built. The castle was simply elegant and posh. I was so glad I chose to spend my university years here.

I got out of the taxi and a man in his forties helped me with my luggage. He guided me to the dean's office.
I knocked two times on the wooden door.
"Come in" a man's voice said
I entered the office, and took a look at it before turning to whom I suppose is the dean.

"Good afternoon Sir, I am Adele Zachary" I said politely

"Good afternoon Miss Zachary, My name is George Albert. I'm the current dean of Crescent Dale university"

"It's a pleasure to meet you sir"

"Well, I suppose you would like to settle in, so here are your dorm keys, student ID, desk number and a small map to help you find your way around the castle" The professor said smiling.

"Thank you Professor" He nodded his head in return.

"If it's not much trouble to ask professor, What was the discovery made by your great grand father?" I asked curiously.

He smiled at me and said, "Well I suppose you have the right to know since after all, it was your ancestors' "
He paused for a moment before completing what he was saying.
"My great grandfather found the lost Egyptian Sistrum"

"But there are still alot of Sistrums in Egypt" I said confused.

"I believe this Sistrum is quiet different, you see it was believed that this particular Sistrum had magical music powers" He explained

"Where is this Sistrum now?"

"Unfortunately, I don't know, My great grandfather hid it in this castle but to know where to find it, you have to solve riddles and codes. No one quiet succeeded to solve them I'm afraid. As he believed in its mythical powers, he was afraid it would get in the wrong hands causing chaos. Therefore he hid it."

"Wow, This is kind of fascinating. Is there any books in the library about the myth?" I asked.

"Yes, a variety of books I must say, and if you're interested. I could lend you one of my extra special books" He said giving me a warm smile.

"That would be great sir" I said excitedly.

"You can pass by my office any time you like and borrow whatever you want"

"Thanks alot professor and I promise I will take care of the books" I assured him.
He smiled and nodded his head at me and I took this as my sign to exit his office.
I followed the man who earlier helped me with my luggage to my dorm. It was dorm number 32. Apparently, the dorms occupied 2 floors. One for girls and one for boys, each floor had 40 rooms and each 3 students shared a room.
The first floor of the castle had the dean's office, the library, the dinning haul and a gym center. The second floor had the teacher's offices and the course rooms.
The basement had the kitchens, laundry rooms and house keeping rooms. The roof had a small green house and an open area for events and college hosted parties.
That was basically the castle, other than the pool and tennis and basket ball courts in the outdoor area.

I opened my dorm door and absolutely feel in love with every detail in the room. It wasn't your plain dorm room. It was fancy, the wall paper was a nice rich burgundy colour, and the floor was wooden. Three metallic beds lied in different corners in the room for privacy. Each bed had a nightstand, a dresser, a built in closet and a small bookshelf.
There was decent sized refrigerator in the fourth corner. Next to it was a door that led to the bathroom.
One of the beds was already made and there was shuffling noise in the bathroom, so I assumed it must be one of my roommates. I moved all my luggage inside and a second later the bathroom door opened. The girl had strawberry blonde hair that was wet, she had green eyes and full rosy lips that complemented her fair skin. She was really pretty. She wore a pair of leggings and plain pink shirt.

"Oh hello there, I'm claire" she said cheerfully after staring at me for a few seconds.
"Hello, I'm Adele" I smiled
"So what's your major?, mine is English literature and Marketing"
"Creative Writing and English literature, so our third roommate haven't arrived yet"
"Nope" she said shaking her head.
We spent a couple of hours unpacking and talking in general. Claire was really nice and I think we'll be good friends.
"I'm so hungry. Let's go have lunch" claire said. I nodded my head in response. We went to the dinning haul which reminded me a bit of the one at hogwarts, except that the tables were for six. Honestly, the whole castle reminded me of hogwarts which was a good thing since I loved Harry Potter so much.

The food was again better than what I expected, it was good quality and healthy. We had different varieties to choose from. I had a chicken wrap with some grilled vegetables and a water bottle. Claire was vegan so she had a mushroom fajita wrap with some fresh orange juice. The dinning haul was filled with students and the sound of clashing utensils filled the air. A particular table caught my attention, 3 guys were seated eating silently. They had this vibe around them that screamed power and danger. The tables around them were empty as if no one dared to sit near them. I couldn't quite make their features from where I was sitting but they were handsome I could tell. They wore all black and leather which I kind of liked. I was intimidated by them not scared. Almost drawn to them especially the one sitting facing me. He must have felt my gaze because he looked up and looked at me. But I quickly looked away, blushing in the process.

"You fancy Mr. Dark over there" Claire said wiggling her eyebrows.
"I wouldn't call it that, I would call it observing" I said as an excuse. I was just intimidated that's all.

We finished lunch and headed back to our dorm. Our third roommate hasn't arrived yet. We spent the rest of the day talking and we were to lazy to go to dinner so we just ate a few snacks.
I slept peacefully that night with my mind occasionally drifting to Mr. Dark
