Recap:
"Because this means the prophecy is true" he said his eyes holding fear.
-----------------------------------------------------------"A prophecy" I said hoping I misheard him. He nodded his head sighing.
"What does it say?" I asked.
"I prefer if you hear the explanation from Wanda herself." He said
"Who's Wanda?"
"The Oracle" he replied.
"When can I see her?" I asked hoping he would say in a week or even a month.
"She lives in these woods, we'll go tonight. Don't mention anything to Claire and Valerie yet" He said, his voice held some sort of misery I couldn't explain.I nodded. I just wanted to start a fresh normal life and now I can't. Derek claims that I have some sort of power and him and his friends are werewolves. How abnormal could my life get? I wasn't scared though, I always held my ground and faced whatever is against me. I wasn't one to back down.
It was getting dark and we were called for the bonfire.
I honestly could care less about the bonfire right now.
I lied on the sleeping bag not showing any sign of motion."Adele" Derek said softly sitting beside me, "I know it's alot to take in, you just found out I'm a monster, I won't blame you if you want to keep your distance, I can switch tents if you want to." I waited as he finished his nonsense and sighed, "Derek, look at me, you're not a monster, you're a werewolf. I'm not scared of you, just fascinated. I don't want to stay away from you and I don't want you to push me away either" I said firmly.
He looked at me smiling, he slowly inched closer to my face until he was mere centimeters away from my lips.
He gave me a soft feathery kiss, although it was soft and quick, it showed me that he cared. It was my first kiss ever and it was perfect.
"You know you just stole my first kiss" I said wanting to know what his reaction would be.
He looked at me horrified as if he stole something sacred, "I'm so sorry Adele, I should've asked you first, I didn't cross my mind that it could be your first kiss" he said so fast, he looked cute doing that.
I laughed at his discomfort, "why are you laughing? " he said annoyed.
My laughter died down after a while, "your reaction was priceless, don't worry though it was the perfect first kiss" I said smiling.
"So shall we go to the bonfire" he said after regaining his posture.
"We shall" I replied.A huge fire was in the middle, surrounded by various seats. I spotted our friends and we headed towards them.
"You two solved everything" Elijah said, Derek replied with a simple yes.
We roasted marshmallows and hot dogs. We laughed and had a really good time. A few hours later we headed back to our tents.
Derek told me we'd head out at 1:00 am, he said to take a small bag with necessities.
I grabbed a small backpack, I put my phone, snacks, some painkillers , a couple of bandages and a small torch.
I wanted to change in some sweats and a hoodie but Derke was in the tent.
"Derek" I said catching his attention.
"Yes"
"Could you maybe turn around, I want to change my clothes?" I said shyly, blushing slightly.
He smirked at me, "Why, that would be a waste?" He said in his bad boy way. I liked this side of him I must confess. "Derek, turn around" I said firmly, "Fine" he said huffing in annoyance.I quickly changed in a pair of black sweatpants, a lime green tank top and a black hoodie and of course my running shoes.
"I take it you're experienced in this kind of thing" Derek said looking at my outfit choice approvingly.
"Well we need to blend in with the night, and these clothes are comfortable and easy to fight in" I said shrugging.
"Fight, you fight" he exclaimed.
"Black belt in karate and experienced in parkour" I said confidently.
He looked surprised but didn't say anything.
We carefully got out of the tent trying to make as less sounds as we can.
We walked slowly down the edge of the hill, which was kind of a struggle due to the gravity. We made it,unseen, to the edge of the forest.
We stopped for a second when Derek entwined his fingers with mine.
I looked at him and smiled, his eyes glew softly in the darkness. I felt safe with his hand wrapped in mine.
We were walking in a slow pace, when I finally decided I should ask him some of the questions clouding my mind.
"Derek" I said in a low voice so no one can here us.
"Yes, what's your questions? " he said as if he read my mind.
"Do you read minds?" I said jokingly.
"No" he said laughing a small laugh.
