Tryst: Chapter 10

This is kinda how I pictured Ella's apartment

Ella's POV

When Joe kissed me, it's like the world stopped. Cheesy I know, but it's true. I felt like it was just me and him. No one else.

The kiss was the best kiss I've ever had. It was filled with passion, something all of my other relationships lacked. When we broke apart, I instantly missed his lips.

"Ella. I've been feeling these emotions with you. I know it's weird considering I've never had them before, but I do now with you. I like you, a lot." He finished, making my breath hitch.

I knew I had a pull towards Joe ever since the party. I know I like him, but, what about Zoe?

"Joe, I like you too, but what about Zoe?" I asked. His face was confused, but then realization hit.

"I don't know." He finally spoke.

"If we want this to work, we have to sneak around her." I said. I can't believe I'm actually gonna sneak around my best friend with her brother. It seems so wrong, but I really want to give me and Joe a shot.

I looked back at Joe for his response, and he was contemplating. I knew just by the way he was biting his lip (which was a major turn on by the way) and how his eyes were so concentrated.

"I guess that's what we have to do." I saw the hesitation in Joe, and I immediately regretted what I said.

"Joe if you don't want to, it's fine. I just really wanted to see if we'd work out." I looked down, breaking out of Joe's embrace. As soon as his warmth was gone, his arms snaked it's way back to my waist, pulling me back.

"No, I didn't mean for it to sound like that. Of course I want to see if we would work out Ella. I am willing to try." He gave me a smile, and I returned it.

"We'll be like cool spies, just sneaking around." Joe joked. I laughed, and we continued walking to my house.

It was by far one of the best days of my life.

The birds outside my windows chirping awoke me. I groggily got up from bed, and rubbed my eyes. I reached for my phone on my nightstand. I grabbed the metal object and stared at all the notifications from social media. There was however 7 miss calls from Zoe, and 13 texts. I'll just text her later.

I scrolled all the way down the rest, and noticed one message that wasn't from Zoe, but Joe.

Good morning beautiful

My heart instantly fluttered. I smile crept my face.

It was just 8:30, and my morning was off to a great start.

I know i know i know, im so sorry i havent updated in literally years. School has ben getting more difficult now that im accustomed to it and such. BUT IM BACK I PROMISE!!!
