Chapter Two

Great I thought sarcastically as I walked through my therapist’s door Now I get to tell a complete stranger everything I don’t want people know about, Yay for me.

Her name was Nancy. She definitely looked interesting, that was for sure. She had grey hair which already had me confused considering the rest of her only looked a few years older than me. She was dressed hippy-style with a tie-dyed fluoro jumper and some intriguing bright coloured leggings and leg warmers. She hadn’t even spoken to me yet and she was already draining any joy out my life with the huge smile that lit up her face.

“So”… said Nancy enthusiastically

“So” I mumbled, mirroring her mood, I just wanted to get this over and done with so I could leave.

Nancy picked up on my "emotional state" and gave me a big lecture on negative and positive attitude and how it brings negative and positive karma and blah blah blah. This girl just couldn’t stop talking! By the end of my appointment all the information that I had told her was that I keep having horrific dreams but the ending changes every night so now I have to keep a "dream book".

I could tell that if Spence continued to push me into the car and then and again into the building to get to my appointments, I wouldn’t have to talk very often, (well, except for that darn dream book) because, from what I could tell, Nancy was a real blabbermouth. I bet I could just walk out without Nancy noticing…. Hey that isn’t a bad idea.

As soon as Nancy took a second to turn back to her desk while she speaking I got up and walked to the exit. When I opened the door to walk out I heard something from behind the door. Spencer looked up at me from where she was sitting on the floor right outside the door. I stared at her accusingly and was about to ask and then decided not to bother just in case she would then decide to ask why I came out early. As I walked ahead, Spence stood up, brushed off whatever was left on her skirt from sitting on the carpeted floor and scurried after me.

“Looks like you need a new therapist, she talks way too much”

So that was why she was standing so close to the freaking door I thought but at least now I don’t need to keep a stupid dream book…

"But that dream book was actually a good idea."

ugh! I couldn’t be positive for one second without someone ruining my mood. Well, stuff it, I honestly can not be bothered.

“Stickybeak” I muttered, still not in a good mood. Like I loved Spencer and all, but sometimes she just gets too annoying. And I thought that was my job, I am the little sister.
