Hi everyone! Like I've said a thousand times, sorry for the late updates!

Billie Joe’s P.O.V

‘’Billie Joe? Hun? Are you up?’’ I heard Adie yell from the stairs, ‘’Uhum’’ I mumbled just loud enough for her to hear me, ‘’good! Breakfast is ready soon’’ she shouted before I could hear her walk slowly fade away.

I hoisted myself up and realised that I had fallen asleep on top of my guitar. All the candles had now burnt out and the room was dark. I gazed down on my guitar and noticed a piece of paper underneath. My song, I thought to myself as I picked it up. ‘’Drama Queen’’ said the scribbles at the top of the page. I shook my head and threw it across the room. Then I remembered, Alex. She was here last night, I knew she had been here.

I looked up and into the darkness of the room, ‘’Alex..?’’ I spoke up, my voice sounded pathetic and thin. My question drowned in the silence, no answer nor any movements. I sighed and got up. I stretched my arms over my head and made my way upstairs.

Neither Jake, Joey or Billie was to be found, only Adie who was standing alone in the kitchen making coffee. She looked tired and defeated, her dreadlocks covered her pale face.

She lit up a little as I walked into the kitchen, she faked a smile and said, ‘’can you tell Billie the foods ready? He hasn’t been answering me’’ I nodded and walked upstairs.

I knocked on his door and entered his room. Billie was wandering around in browsing through the drawers. ‘’Looking for something?’’ I smiled weakly, he nodded and continued without offering me a look.

‘’Want any help?’’ I offered, he shook his head. ‘’It’s gone, I can’t find it!’’ He said dramatically as he seated himself on the bed. I walked over to him and sat next to him. ‘’What’s gone?’’ I asked.

He gazed down on his hands, ‘’my letter’’ he replied silently. Letter? I thought to myself. ‘’What letter?’’ I asked interested.

Billie sighed and looked up at me, his eyes looked lost and confused. ‘’I wrote a letter to God, telling him to give us Alex back and now it’s gone. It was on my drawer last night, but now it’s gone!’’ He hissed agitated.

I must be honest and say that I wasn’t expecting that. Him writing a letter to God, well I can’t say I wouldn’t have done the same if we where at the same age.

I rubbed his back, ‘’well, if it was to God then I bet he came and took it’’ I tried my best to comfort him. But it’s hard trying to comfort others when you’re just as broken yourself. Billie sighed, ‘’I don’t believe in God…’’ he mumbled. ‘’I just wanted Alex back, so I didn’t know whom to go to.. and God seemed appropriate…’’ he continued. I smiled to myself as he told me. He was an amazing little brother. ‘’Want some breakfast? Adie’s making some right now. You need food y’know’’ I asked him. He didn’t even look at me, he just shook his head and said ‘’I’ll sleep some more.., if that’s okay’’

I nodded and let him sleep. I walked out and down stairs to Adie who was now ready with the breakfast. She looked up at me, ‘’nope’’ I said shortly. She looked a bit disappointed and nodded slowly.

‘’Where’s Jake and Joey?’’ I asked questioning as I seated myself around the kitchen table above Adie. ‘’Same as Billie, in their room’’ she answered as she handed me a cup of coffee. I sighed, ‘’this won’t be easy’’ I said as I rubbed my forehead. ‘’For any of us’’ she agreed. ‘’We have to tell Mike and Tr-‘’ ‘’already done that, they’re coming over later to discuss the funeral’’ she cut me off. ‘’Oh..but this hasn’t leaked in the media so far?’’ I asked as I took another sip of my coffee. I wasn’t really hungry, regardless the amazing food Adrienne made. Now it just didn’t tempt me.
