Hope the ending will surpise you all! MUAHAHAHA :D

Alex’s POV

I checked my iPod for the hundredth time, they’ve been gone for two hours or something! What if something has happened? They had to bring guns for crying out loud, of course something has happened!

I gazed over at Adie. Past the two hours she had been sitting on the edge of her small bed staring at the floor. It amazed me how long she was able to sit like that.

She looked dead, she had her back against me sitting still. She looked like a statue, I would believe it was a statue as well if it wasn’t for her back which was moving up and down signalizing that she was breathing.

‘’Still there?’’ I almost whispered

‘’If Mike or Trè get hurt, I will never forgive myself’’ she replied silently. Not the answer I was hoping for…

‘’No it’s not’’ I said in her direction, ‘’first, nothing will happen to them and second, it wouldn’t be your fault. It never would be’’ I ended. She didn’t move, I felt uncomfortable with not seeing her face.

She sighted heavily, ‘’I just don’t want to lose any of them’’ she continued. I clenched around my iPod and gazed down at the floor. Me neither, I answered in my head.

A few minutes later there was a knock at the door. Adie woke up from her statue position and ran to the door, ‘’who is it?’’ she asked with her ear pressed up against the wooden door. ‘’Your mom’’ Trè joked from the other side, which indicated that they’ve got the boys. He wouldn’t joke if they hadn’t succeeded. Adie swung opened the door and embraced two heads with black hair.

‘’Can’t … breath… MOM!’’ One of the boys hissed from her grasp. ‘’I don’t fucking care, Jacob!’’ She hissed back happily.

We let them all inside and I hugged Mike and Trè, it felt so relieving having them in my arms again. ‘’I was so scared’’ I whispered into Mike’s chest. He chuckled, ‘’we’re never leaving you, Alex! Nothing to worry about!’’ He smiled as he let me go. We looked over at Adie and the boys. She was crying her eyes out…again. Can’t really blame her though.

‘’Mom, we’re fine now!’’ Joey hissed happily at his crying mom. Jacob laughed and stroked her back.

It was weird seeing them in real life and not on pictures or anything. Jacob looked taller, and Joey looked older. Joey noticed that I was staring and shot me smile. He walked up to me and greeted me, ‘’Hi! You must me the ghost whisperer!’’ He joked, he shook my hand and I giggled. ‘’Hehe, yeah seems like it! Nice to meet you’’ I answered.

Jacob also came to greet me, he really do look like his mother.

We all sat down and relaxed, had a normal conversation, laughed and enjoyed ourselves. Felt like home, felt like one big family really. I felt like I needed this.

I loved seeing Adrienne laugh again, Trè not crying and Mike so careless. Even if it was just for now, this is how I want to remember it all. All of us sitting in an old and dreadful hotel room having a jolly time, together. Regardless what is going on around us, we all needed a time out from kidnapping, death, stress and all shit. Only thing that’s missing is Billie Joe, I’m afraid I’ve seen the last of him. I hope not though, the last time I saw him I was so angry with him, and we just fought. I don’t want that to be the last memory of him! But where can he be… Maybe he has passed… perhaps that’s for the best.

‘’So, tomorrow guys.. We need to be prepared’’ Mike ended our laughter, it couldn’t last forever. We all got serious and focused.

‘’The meeting starts 9 AM and ends when we’re done, have you called Austin, Alex?’’ Adie asked me, ‘’no, I haven’t I’ll do it now!’’ I replied and got up to find my phone. I walked into the bathroom and gave him a call.
