Cole's POV

I woke up this morning feeling a searing pain in my head. I realize I'm not at the monastery. Instead I'm lying in a field between a dirt road and a blacksmith shop.

"I remember this shack. This is where Kai and Nya used to live before they were recruited," I observed. The door was open, so I strolled in. I admired all the samurai armor on the walls, reminiscing the day I met my friends.

"If I'm at this cavern, then I'm not too far from the dojo in Ninjago City!" I realized, breaking into a fast sprint.

Jay's POV

Cole was up before everyone else this morning, massaging his arm and drinking tea.

"Morning, Cole. You're up early today," I whispered, greeting him.

"I agree. I'm a bit surprised, too. I usually don't wake up this early," he recalled.

"Zane's not even up yet. He'll be shocked to hear this," I said, making myself a cup of tea. I heard Kai moaning and grumbling in his sleep, then saw light in our doorway.

"Oh, great. Kai's set himself on fire again," I groaned, walking into our room with a small bucket of water.

"AUUUGGHH! JJAAAAYYY!" Kai screamed, completely drenched in water.

Lloyd's POV

"Thanks for the unnecessary wakeup call, Jay," I yawned angrily.

"Sorry. I didn't want Kai setting our bunks on fire again," he replied, shrugging his shoulders apologetically. We shuffled into the front room and saw Cole doing push-ups with his left hand.

"I may be injured, but I can still find ways of doing my daily exercises," he assured.

"Just don't hurt yourself more," I warned.

"Wait a second, Lloyd. Don't you have healing abilities?" he questioned.

"Yeah, but it's a waste of energy. Do you still want me to heal your arm?" I explained.

"It's your choice," Cole agreed. I conjured up an orb of golden energy, slowly pushing it into Cole's arm. It soaked in, turning his upper arm gold as the energy stitched the wound closed. He then slid his arm out of the sling and tested his reflexes.

"Just like new. Thanks, Lloyd. I owe you one," Cole triumphed. I nodded my response, leaving the monastery to find my dad.
