Zane's POV

With Cole's arm better, we were able to begin our morning training.

"How long is Roxy staying at your dad's house?" Jay whispered to Cole while we warmed up.

"Probably for the rest of the week," Cole answered.

"Alright, ninja. For today's training, you each will demonstrate your knowledge on art of the silent fist. Each of you will fight in pairs. Nya will join as well," Sensei Garmadon announced.

"No need to go easy on me, you guys," Nya recommended.

"First pair: Jay and Zane. Step up, you two!" Sensei ordered. I hopped up to the platform and faced Jay. Before we started, I flipped on my 'Combat' switch.

"Ready... set... NINJA-GO!" Kai hollered. Jay launched himself at me, going into a full flying side kick. I sidestepped, causing him to crash into a wooden beam.

CCRREEEEAAAKKK!!!!

"Watch out, Lloyd!" Cole screamed. He rushed over and stopped the pillar from crushing Lloyd where he was sitting.

"Thanks, Cole," Lloyd gasped gratefully.

"Think nothing of it. I told you I owed you, so I repaid the debt," Cole told him. But surprisingly, Jay wasn't done. He bounced up, throwing himself into a defensive stance and challenged me to take him on. Accepting him challenge, I bowed low while keeping my eyes up. Then, I rushed at him and threw two hooks and a spinning back fist. Dodging my attacks, he back flipped and teleported in a flash of lightning. I kept my hands up, staying alert. I wasn't completely alert, unfortunately. Jay silently teleported behind me, sending me to the ground with a roundhouse kick.

Kai's POV

The rest of us sat and watched while Jay and Zane fought it out. When Jay knocked Zane down, Garmadon stepped up again.

"Well done, Jay. Next up is Kai and Nya. Let's get started!" he called.

"OOOHHH! Brother versus sister! C'mon, Nya!" Lloyd joked.

"Ready... NINJA GO!" Zane called. My sister flew into her defensive stance: hands loose and placed up, weight shifted forward.

"Ready, Kai?" she taunted.

"Ready as I'll ever be," I chuckled, following with a right jab. Like wind she dodged it, smirking. I struck with a series of jabs, punches, and kicks. Not a single hit was landed.

"Defensive to offensive, Nya," Sensei Wu reminded. I heard what he said but didn't pay attention. BAM! My sister landed a fist on my jaw, then knocked me to the ground with a horizontal jump kick.

"Told you not to go easy on me, bro," she giggled, wiping the dust off her hands.

"Ha, ha. You're so funny I forgot to laugh," I groaned unhappily, massaging my jaw.

Jay's POV

When Kai put his hand down, I spotted a bruise on the right side of his mouth.

"Last two before finals are Lloyd and Cole," Sensei Wu announced.

Remember, Lloyd, art of the silent fist. Don't use your powers!" Kai warned. Cole was the first to use defensive strategies. Lloyd threw every offensive technique he knew at Cole. I'm shocked Lloyd didn't hit him.

"Can't seem to touch me, huh, Lloyd?" Cole bragged. That set Lloyd off. His eyes turned gold, and he began breathing heavily.

"Lloyd! Relax!" Zane shouted, grabbing his arm.

"Sorry. I just hate being called out like that," he exhaled, letting blood flow back into his ghostly-white knuckles.

"My turn," Cole muttered, almost menacingly. He ran up to Lloyd and swept his leg over the ground, tripping him. Then, as Lloyd stood up, he pressed a foot to his shoulder and twisted his arm, not letting go until Lloyd cried out in pain.

"Cole! What are you doing?" I yelled, sprinting to pull him off. I grabbed him by his wrists, dragging him off of Lloyd. Suddenly the door was kicked open, and we all gasped at the person walking in.
