I rushed out of my study hall class and said my last goodbye to my teacher. I walked down the hallway quickly because Louis was almost halfway down the hallway and I decided I was going to surprise him. I shuffled quickly behind him and jumped on his back. I giggled while he rapped his arms around my legs and looked up with that thousand dollar smile. "why hello there" he chuckled and all I could do was giggle back. He ran down the hallway with me on his back to my locker. I had to grab my notebook because the two of us usually doodle in lunch and the last day of school wasn't going to stop that tradition. He put me down and I see my boyfriend Blake walk up behind me but instead of a charming smile he glared at me. "What's the matter?" I asked innocently. "Did you enjoy your little ride down the hallway?" I only stuttered looking for the right words. "We're done. If you are going to flirt and play around with other guys like a little sl*t we're through." I only stood there in shock and he watched me looking to see what I would say. "You dumb sl*t" and I saw him raise his hand. I felt a sharp pain rush from my cheek to the left side of my face as I fell to the ground. I rolled up in a ball on the floor clutching my own face. I would not cry, I didn't want him to know he caused me so much pain. Louis rushed to my side and moved my hand away from my cheek to see Blake's perfect hand print laced in red. He got up and stared right at Blake with his fist clenched. Louis' number one rule as a man is you never ever hit a female. Ever. Louis' pupils shrunk with anger and his knuckles turned white from clenching so hard. "Don't ever hit her ever again" and with that Louis swung his arm around and punched Blake square in the face. Blake fell to the ground and a pool of blood was coming from his nose and mouth. I could only lay there in shock, my body was still numb. Louis stood over Blake both legs locked and both fists still clenched. The pain had finally travelled to the rest of my face and I gasped in pain. Louis instantly released all the force in his hands and rushed over to me. "I swear he will never touch you again as long as I'm still living." He offered to carry me to the nurse's office but I refused because I felt insecure about my weight. I tried to get up but because of all the action my stomach was in the pit of my throat and I could barely stand up. Once I thought I had my footing I tried walking but instantly collapsed. Louis refused to let me try again and he picked me up bridal style. I felt protected in his warm, muscular arms as he pulled me closer to his chest. All I could do was wrap my arms around his smooth neck and nuzzle my head into his chest. He carried me to the nurse's office, where he stayed with me the entire time. The hand print on my face was only getting worse and my insides didn't feel so hot either. "Dear we're sending you home. Would you like me to call your parents?" the nurse said with a smile. Louis immediately stood up and stated "I want to bring her home. I want to know that she is safe at all times because I care about her too much to trust her with anyone else." The nurse knew what he was trying to say and just nodded. He picked me up off the little bed in her office again and out to the parking lot. He carefully placed me in the passenger's seat and did the belt. He rubbed his thumb right above the print on my face and then kissed it. I swear his kiss were like fireworks because as he pulled away I followed him with my head and he just smiled. Carefully he closed the door to his black range rover and sat down in the driver's seat. I had never felt more safe in my entire life.
