During the bus ride me and Mercedes talked about our plans for the summer and our expectations. Finally the bus pulls up to out school that says in big, white, bold letters "Memphis Washington High School." It was the last time I'd see that name on the side of our school. I walk to my locker to see my friend/locker neighbor Ames who is finally getting his last few notebooks out of his locker and putting his hat on the top shelf. Me and Ames did get along but we are constantly teased that we were going out and we were more then friends. I knew Ames felt that way about me but I couldn't feel that way about him. We were just real good friends. I think I already know who I want to marry when I graduate college. He was my best friend and I have had a crush on him since 7th grade. Embarrassing right? Well when we were in 8th grade he told me he felt the same way about me. I back then though, I fell for a guy named Blake also. Back then I thought he was the best thing that ever happened to me but we were so young. He ended up breaking up with me after 8 months and it left me depressed and feeling unloved. We got back together though, last year during the summer and have been together ever since. I love Blake but I think I'm falling more and more for my other love, Louis. Louis and I have known each other since 7th grade and I don't really know how he feels about me now. All my friends say that he still likes me and I can't help but smile. My friends Landon and Diana that are in my 6th period think it's the cutest thing. Landon says he's going to "get us together" before the end of the year. I thought about breaking up with Blake before but I can't I love him. If me and Louis ever do end up being together it would make me probably the happiest girl in the world. I snapped back into reality. I put the combination into my locker and pull it open. Ames is staring at me, "Hey Dawn, you look really beautiful" and looked directly into my eyes and I stared right back into his dark hazel ones. "Thanks don't look too bad yourself" I said with a wink. I put my purse in my locker and went to first period, walking with Ames. I want that party now.
