Chapter 7: the question

I wake up the next morning with last night replaying in my head. I'm so happy the ice is breaking between me and Nathan. Me and my mom are in the car on our way to the hospital. "Do you want anything?"My mom asks . I look around and see we are in the drive through of Starbucks.

   "Uh sure .. Strawberry and cream please."

   "Hi welcome to star bucks , what can I get you ?"

   My mom leans over the window and says,"Hi , I would take one black coffee with a shot of hazelnut and one strawberry and cream please."

     "Okay , anything thing else I can get you?" My mom looks and me for my approval she starts to say no but I lean over and say ,"ONE BLACK COFFEE WITH WHIP CREAM PLEASE!!"

  "Okay , so one black coffee with a shot of hazelnut, one strawberry and cream , and one black coffee with whip cream. Go ahead and go to the next Window."

We drive two feet and receive our drinks. My mom pays the man and drive off. My mom looks at me and asks, "Would you like to tell me who the black coffee is for? Because as far as I remember you hate coffee."

"It's for Nathan.." I say sheepishly. My mom nearly spits out her coffee wait no she does spit out her coffee... On me!

   "Nathan ?! AWW ARE YOU GUYS TOGETHER? Aw my baby girl is growing up so fast !!"

Mom oh my gosh no! We are just friends.." That one day will be together.

  "Whatever you say sweetie ." She says as she parks and gets out the car . Once I'm out of the warm car I pull on the sleeves of my sweater to protect me from the cold of autumn. "Wait mom! Can I have Nathan's drink..?"

" Yeah go give it to your boyfriend." She says as she waits for me to say ,"he's not my boyfriend."

I grab the drinks and head to his room . He's watching Cutthroat Kitchen . I lean on the doorframe.

"Mr.Reed, May I come in?" He turns his face to mine and our eyes lock.

   "Yeah of course. What's up?" I walk over to the bed and sit down on the chair that's right next to him .

    "Oh nothing. This is for you." I say as I give him he's coffee. He's eyes get as big as bowling balls , "Oh my gosh your amazing! I love you so much right now."  I laugh and reply

"No problem."

Wait did he just say he loved me?

  "Brandy?" I snap out of my gaze and turn back to face him .

     "Yes?"

"Can I ask you something important? " I take a breath and say yes.

"Do you wanna build a sown man?" He says and I look out side and

"Holy Christmas nuts !! It's snowing !"
He laughs and says
"Did you really say holy Christmas nuts?" Crap I said that out loud.

    "Yes, do I need to spell it out for you? But yeah let's go outside. Wait can we?"

   "Yup, I see Tim ,harmony , your mom and Dr.Nicole ."

  "Well let's go then!" I get up and get his wheel chair . I still don't know why he needs it but it's been a week maybe he still needs it. He gets up and sits back down. I start moving then he says he forgot he's Beanie. I make a hard left to go back around and I hear him say
"ouch." I look down and see when I made the turn I hit he's knee .
   "Oh my gosh I'm sorry." He laughs and tells me you'll be sorry when I tackle you in the snow .I grab his beanie and he puts it on.

  "What would you do if I took your beanie?" I ask .

"You do not want to know." He says teasingly. As we finally go out in the snow I decided I want to know what will happen. I grab his beanie and take off.

  "Brandy, give it back."

"You have to get me." Then I run off. I don't believe it , he stands up and starts running to me ." Oh crap ! " I say as I run a little bit faster.

"brrandy come her- ouch." I turn around and see he fell .

"Oh my gosh! " I run to him and put my hand out for him to grab . He grabs it but only to tug me down and cover my face with a handful of snow.

  "Got ya! That's for taking my beanie." He starts tickling me until I can't breathe. "Be my girlfriend Brandy." I look at him , "Wait what did you say?"

"I said will you be my girlfriend?" Me and Nathan . Nathan and I .

    "Only if you'll be my boyfriend."

    "Yes . Yes a thousand times yes." He says as he plants little kisses on my forehead and cheeks.I noticed he's on top of me and my mom can see us ... And Tim. I don't care, I grab his face and gave him a big kiss. It's full of snow flakes and passion.

  "I hope you know your kinda crushing me ."

   "Me? I'll never hurt you, Now help me get up ." He rolls off me so I can get up. 

 "Wait promise me one thing ." 

    "Anything. " 

"Promise me you'll be honest with me. Even if it kills me ." I pull him up while I ask him the question. 

    "I promise Brandy. Now shut up and kiss me in front of everybody." He presses his cold lips against mine and the firework show starts all over again.

    "AWW dr. Nicole , you see Nathan and Brandy !!?" Nathan pulls away from the kiss and looks around and POW . I get a face full of snow . "Nathan your going to get it!"
