He's The Bad Boy

Chapter One

I walked into my new high school. Oh my god. It's huge! I'm already late for my first class on my first day. Shit. I started running down the halls as I held my schedule. Where is it?! I ran faster. I found the room and opened the door. Everyone looked at me and the teacher glared at me.

"Why are you late?" She asked

I gulped.

"I- uh- it's my first day." I stuttered

She rolled her eyes at me and faced the board again.

"Take a seat."

I looked around the room. There were two empty seats. I walked to the back of the room and sat down next to a tall, cute boy. I looked up at the board and tried to listen to the teacher.

"Lucas?"

The boy next to me looked up at the teacher.

"Yes?" He asked

"What is the Declaration of Independence about?" She asked

"I don't know. Pick on a nerd like Farkle, he'll know the answer." Lucas said

The boys around him laughed and the teacher rolled her eyes. A boy on the right side of the room raised his hand. The teacher smiled.

"Farkle! Please tell us what the Declaration of Independence was about."

He answered and the teacher smiled kindly as she turned back to the board. Farkle? That's his name? I shook my head and the bell rang. I stood up and grabbed my bag.

It's time for lunch! I'm so hungry. I walked into the cafeteria and got into the lunch line. I got a piece of pizza and a soda and looked around. Where do I sit? I saw and empty table and walked over to it quickly. I sat down and started eating my pizza.

"Can we sit with you?"

I turned around to see and tall, pretty brunette and the boy, Farkle, from class. I nodded and smiled at her. She gave me a big smile back and sat down across from me. Farkle sat down next to her.

"What's your name?" Farkle asked

"Maya." I said

He smiled and so did the girl.

"I'm Riley and this is Farkle." The girl said

I nodded and looked at Farkle.

"You're in my history class. You answered the question about the Declaration of Independence." I said

He nodded.

"I'm kind of nerd. I love to learn!" He said

Riley giggled and I smiled. I just made friends.

"What class do you have next Maya?" Riley asked

I grabbed my schedule out of my bag and looked at it.

"Math." I said

Riley smiled.

"I have math too! Yaaaaaaaaaay!" She squealed

"I have math too." Farkle said

"Cool." I said

I finished my piece of pizza as Riley was telling me about everyone.

"Missy Bradford is mean, don't try and talk to her." Riley said

Farkle nodded and I looked up at her.

"Do you know Lucas?" I asked

Riley put her soda down and Farkle looked up at me.

"Lucas Friar? He's the bad boy." Riley said
