Emma has had the scar on her wrist since her 16th birthday. She was afraid of her parents finding out..to this day they still don't know. Charming and Emma kept riding, talking, laughing, racing, and a lot of other things Emma loved to do. Finally they reached their destination. A waterfall hidden in the mountains.

"It's so beautiful..now I know what you and mother are always talking about" Emma said looking up to the waterfall. The sun was shining on the water. It looked absolutely breath taking.

"I'm glad you like it" Charming said with a smile. He loved to make his daughter happy. He knew she didn't like the life of a royal so he tried to get her away from it for as long and as soon as possible.

A FEW HOURS LATER
"I don't mean to ruin this but we need to get back" Charming said.

Emma nodded. She knew she had to go back but didn't want to. She loved it here, away from the castle.

"Sorry" he felt bad. He wanted to give her more time but Snow would be furious and send guards.

"Don't be..it's fine. I appreciate this so much. This is the best birthday ever" she smiled. The ball is going to ruin it though. Emma thought to herself.

Charming and Emma both got on their horses. They rode back slowly. They kept talking and laughing and racing like they usually do. They got to the stables and put the horses away. They both walked to the castle where maids hurried Emma instead to get her ready for the ball.

"Your highness you're late" one of her maids said hurrying her into her bedroom.

"By 5 minutes" she retorted and rolled her eyes.

"5 minutes is like an hour to us. Now get inside" she pushed her in and sat her down on the chair by the desk. The desk was covered in makeup, hair accessories, jewelry, and so on.

Here we go. Emma thought.
