“Dylan, Dylan wake up,” I feel his hot breath blowing on my ear as he whispers to me. “Dylan, Dylan get out of bed. If you’re not going to wake up I’m going to have to resort to plan B.”
I listen as his footsteps retreat down the hallway and then return a few minutes later. Groaning, I flip onto my stomach and lay face first in the pillow. Chad’s footsteps stop beside me bed and I squeeze my eyes shut, willing him to go away in my head. I hear Chad giggle and then he does the unthinkable.
“Chad, you’re such an asshole!” I scream as I push myself off my bed and stare at him through drenched hair. “You’re going to pay for that!”
Grinding my teeth together, I slip on some socks and go storming out to the living room where Chad is hiding. I can see his hair standing up behind the couch. Angry and wet, I stomp over to the couch and pull on his hair. His eyes go wide as he just stares up at me in shock.
“I cannot believe you just did that!” I hiss as my anger boils. “You should learn to NEVER wake me up in the morning like that. You’re an ass.”
Tossing his head to the side, I make my way back to bed, slowly becoming at ease. Slamming the door behind me, I flop onto my bed and right into the wet sheets. Swearing, I get up and rip the sheets off my bed. I throw them into the hall and shut my door.
“Dylan, why are your sheets in the hallway?” Uncle Marley asks me from outside my door.
“Ask Chad,” I huff as I change into a pair of baggy track pants and a tank top.
I can faintly hear Uncle Marley and Chad talking about what happened this morning. Uncle Marley starts laughing and I hear him give Chad a high-five. Rolling my eyes, I grit my teeth and lay down in my sheet-less bed.
Waking up to the sound of buzzing, I open my eyes to see a bee on my pillow. Shrieking the girliest scream I could manage, I freak out and run to the corner of my room. I grab the closest thing to me, my hat, and wave it around trying to kill the bee. My door opens to reveal Chad with a baseball bat.
“What happened?” He pants, as he just looks my terrified face.
“There was a bee! Right in front of me face! It was about to kill me!” Chad just looks at me and laughs. “Don’t laugh at me! It could have hurt me!”
“When I heard you scream I thought you were being raped or something, not that there was a bee in your room.”
“Shut up! It scared me.”
“Well I’m sure the big bad bee is gone now so you can stop screaming and get ready to work Scar.”
“Oh, right, forgot about that, thanks for reminding me!” I beam as I think about spending hours with him again.
Putting my hat down, I walk over to the closet and pull out a pair of jeans, underwear, bra, and socks. Feeling watched, I turn around to see Chad still standing at my doorway. I just raise an eyebrow at him and shake my head.
“Why are you still standing there? I need to get dressed.”
“Just admiring the view,” he winks at me and I just glare at him.
“After your stunt this morning, you better kiss ass.”
“I would gladly get down on my knees and kiss your ass.”
