Chapter 14

A week has gone by sense Riley and Gabriel came by and checked on our baby, Aiden has had me on lock down in the house. At first I thought it was okay but it is now getting a little too much. Every time I try to go outside to get fresh air, he slams the door shut, throws me over his shoulder and brings me back up to our room. I try to get him to let me go, but damn is he strong. He won't even let anyone come inside either, I mean how someone can stay inside for this long, baffles me. I need to feel the grass under my feet, the wind on my face, I just need to get the hell out of this house and I was planning on doing that. Now I just have to get past Mr. Uptight and bossy. My plan was simple just walk right out the door without hesitation, unlike the last billion times.

Right now I think I had a chance, Aiden was in his office dealing with Elder Council, and not really paying attention to me. So it's now or never. I slip on my boots and jacket, I listen carefully to Aiden to see what he was doing. The rustling of papers, and him grumbling under his voice was all I could. Meaning he wasn't even going to notice me leave, hopefully. I walk down the stairs carefully and try to be quiet as possible. Sighing a huge breath of relief, once I hit the ground floor, I make my way to the door. Just as I put my hand on the door knob and I hear the one thing I didn't want to hear.

"Where do you think you're going?" I freeze in place, and slowly turn around, to be meet with a hard chest. I look up into Aiden's eyes, and sigh in defeat. I lean my back against the door and wait for the lecture. "I know you want to leave, but I can't, I won't take the chance of someone hurting you." He cups my face with his hands and rubs his thumb on my cheek. "Please just listen to me for this, once we get everything cleared up with Marcus, and his pack, you need to stay inside." The worry in his eyes, flipped a switch in my head and I knew that he was right. Does staying inside and feeling like a prisoner fun? No. Is it keeping me and my unborn child alive? Yes.

"Can you at least let our parents, plus Caera and Jackson come over. I love you and all but I am getting to the point I can't stand seeing you anymore." He laughs at me, and kisses my forehead.

"Yeah , we can go call them now."He takes my hand and leads me to his office. I quickly run over to his phone and pick it up, before I could even dial my dad's number, Aiden hangs up the phone. I give him a confused look, he points to his head, still confused, he laughs at me and kisses my forehead. "I mind-linked the boys to send over the girls."

"Oh right we can do that." I laugh at myself, and got to sit in Aiden's big chair. Of course he stopped me and sat down first. "Did I say I wanted to sit on your lap?"

"No, I say you did, and besides the closer I have my girl, and child the better I feel." I was a little shocked at the fact he said child and not pup. Every werewolf calls their children, or unborn child their pup. Sense we were created from wolves; it was natural for us to call them that. But when you were originally human and then turned into a turned into a beast like we are, you don't. I guess that makes sense for us not to call them that, cause we are what we are. "I'm surprised you haven't had any pregnancy symptoms yet" Aiden breaks my train of thought.

"I hope I don't get any. I hate throwing up, and I love food, so the first time, I throw up because of food, that will be hell for you, just a warning." I laugh a little and kiss his cheek.

"May the moon goddesses save me that day." I slap his chest, and laugh with him. "Don't worry, you'll have a lot of people to help you with the little rascal, no matter how bad your moods will be." He kisses my neck which sends shivers down my spine.Just before he could start anything, someone knocked on the door. I get off Aiden's lap and head to the door, before I could even leave Aiden's office, someone grabs me and pulls me into a hug. I knew it was my mom by her scent.

"Oh thank the moon goddesses you're alright." I hug her back and just take in all her comforting hug. She pulls back and wipes away the few tears that strayed from her eyes. I laughed at her and wiped the few that fell from my eyes. "When your father told me everything, I wanted to run right over here, but I knew I couldn't until Aiden said it was safe. But on to more important news, my baby is having a baby." She said with much excitement.

"Who's having a baby?" Maria and Caera came into view and looked confused. Aiden came up behind me and wrapped and arm around my stomach. Caera caught on and screamed for joy, hurting everyone ears. "Sorry, I'm just so happy for you. After everything that has happened to you, this is the best news ever."

"After that stupid council meeting and me killing Marcus life will be ten times better." Aiden said. He kisses my head and leads us all to the living room. And we all try to act normal, but it was all in the back of our minds.

What as the council going to do, if they take Marcus's side?
