Chapter 25

Everly's POV

The next day came, Aiden and I were still pissed beyond belief. Aiden more then anyone, he broke almost everything in he hallways leading up to our room. He apologized to the maids afterwards as they were cleaning, they sympathized with us and understood why he was angry. When we woke up Jackson came in to tell us that he royals were all here, and to also tell us that Nathan and Austin were beyond pissed that Thomas had done this to us. They were lead to the office as the others were put in the ball room where a huge table was set for them. Our parents were making sure they stayed silent and did not speak till we were there.

We quickly got dressed and went down to meet Nathan and Austin. They greeted both of us with hugs and worried faces. Both men were worried about my health after being told what happened. I reassured them I was okay, and have been staying my calm, and making sure nothing gets me upset. One of the maids came in and dressed Aiden in a royal seal neckless and my self in a diamond head band and royal ring.

"My king and queen, everyone on the staff have vowed to stay loyal to you. Thomas has always been power hungry and we have suffered many years of abuse from him. Do we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for saving us." I feel many emotions has she speaks. I bring her into a hug and make her feel safe. I let her go and she leaves to help in the kitchen.

"We must be goin they are starting to speak and get rowdy for waiting so long." I told my eyes making Austin laugh at me. I smile at him then Aiden as he grabs my head and leads us to the ball room. Aiden with both hands pushes he double doors open making them slam against the wall as they hit. The noise scares everyone in to silence as we make our way to our seats. Austin and Nathan sat down next to Jackson and Leo, who is Aiden's gamma.

"Every sense I have been told of what my mate and I truly are we have been hit with adversity. We understand many of you are older and have been set in your ways, but when you question whether or not I can rule, all because a man who tired to put his old ways on us that mad me kill a man and women who were brought up to be horrible things. I will tolerate it."

A lady in her mid 30's stands up and looks at Aiden. She was dressed a long sleeved dress, that was adorned in flowers and jewels.

"My name is Demora Queen of the Faye's. I have come here not to argue like most of the kings here. I empathize kings because I one point I was in your position when my Father late King Morto died he passed down the thrown to me. Every kingdom here objected because I was not a man and because Thomas tired to take my land and people from here. I am in full support of you."

"Sit down Queen Demora, you should not even be here. No women should rule a kingdom. I object to your rule High King Aiden. You are not strong or trained enough to rule." A man who looked in his 60's stood up and yelled at Demora and Aiden. "Thomas was a good man who should be up there ruling not you!"

This sent Aiden over the edge, hits the table with a growl, once his fit collided with the table it spilt it all the way down the middle till it hit the end. All the royals backed away quickly.

"Do you know what Thomas wanted for this kingdom? Do you know what he wanted us to do to make sure we stayed in power for a long time?" He asked the royals. "He had a man and woman raised at birth to be consorts to us to make sure no more heirs were made. He wanted us to sleep on opposite ends of the castle to not distract us from our separate duties. How would you feel if your mate was made to stay away from you, and that a man who was power hungry tired to rule your kingdom through you as if you were just a puppet." Every king and queen in the ballroom looked at each other and grab each other's hands. " You are right we don't know how to rule. Our lives have been changing ever sense I found Everly in the woods 10 years after she was kidnapped and taken from me and her family. So please I ask for your guidance and knowledge to help make sure our world and this kingdom stay safe and to make sure it is the best it can be."

"I King Porter of the HellHounds and my wife Queen Lidia, pledge my allegiance to you."

"I Chief Black Hawk, and my wife Wild Stallion Leaders of the ski walkers and protectors of the spirit portal pledge put allegiance to you."

"I Queen Dorma of the Faye's pledge my allegiance to you."

"I King William and my wife Queen Megar of the Chimaras pledge our allegiance to you."

"I Queen Makia of the Banshees' pledge my allegiance to you."

" I King Austin of the Werewolves pledge my allegiance to you."

" I King Nathan of the Vanpires pledge my allegiance to you."

We all look to the old man and his wife who look opposed to all of this.

"I King Charles of the Selkie, do not pledge my allegiance." We all look astonished at him. After all this he still thinks we are unfit.

"I however do. I am Queen Victoria of the Selkie and I do pledge my allegiance. My husband is only king because he is my mate, he has no really power of my people. And if he defies my order he will be sentenced to death." She steps away from him and over to Queen Dorma, who embraced the older women with a hug. He looked at her pissed and as if his entire life has been shattered. He has been lying to the whole supernatural world.

"Victoria..." he looked at his mate with hurt in his voice and eyes. It's like his whole world is gone. "I pledge my allegiance."

"From this day forth we shall work together to make this kingdom run strong and stay strong. We will stand as one."

They all bow towards us as respect, Aiden and I do the same.

From this day forward our lives will never be the same again. And for the first time it is looking up.
