The Final Battle

Chapter 16

HEY guess who's back?! Tronlivesmonstercard! YEA! Anyway I'm back with another chapter! I'm sorry it took me so long to update but I had a case of writer's block.  

Paige, who was still messing with the disk, finally took a break for a little bit and decided to go and check up on Zara. Well I've got to get away from the stupid disk. She stood and took a stride towards the door but stopped when she was greeted by Tron as he walked in.

"Paige." The Program still had his mask on but to Paige she could feel his gaze and how worried he seemed.

"What? Actually before you tell me I want an answer." She paused while the program nodded.

"Who are you? And don't lie to me." The program nodded once more and he took his mask off. Paige watched, almost terrified of the answer. But when the mask was completely off she stood in horror.

"I am Tron. The first one anyway," Tron smirked as he somewhat enjoyed her reaction. "Now it's time for you to answer my question. How are Beck and Zara?" His smirk had faded.

"ohh..," Paige came out of her shock, "Well for the most part Beck is stable and as for Zara.... I don't really know. I've been fighting with Beck's disk and trying to stop his wrists from derezzing. Although I was just on my way to check up on her."

Tron not really satisfied with the answer he had received, turned and left. Leaving Paige to get on with her job. Well that's a little unsettling to know that Tron is still alive Paige shivered at the thought of Clu finding out that he was still alive. Get your head in the game Paige your number one priority is to find a solution to Beck's issue. Shaking her head Paige walked into the next room and did a scan of Zara.

The red haired program was lying still which was a relief for Paige. Now let's find out why your unconscious shall we? Paige began to make her way towards Zara's disk until Zara started to wake up. She slowly began to sit up and when she was positioned comfortably she looked at Paige with deep envy green eyes. Uh what's going on with her eyes? Paige took a step backwards and collected herself.

"Why hello Zara how are you feeling today?" Paige plastered a smile on her face.

"I'm well I really don't know." Zara folded her hands in her lap and continued to stare at Paige.

"Well are you happy, sad, angry? You know what are your emotions?" Paige was getting a little frustrated by she managed to keep the fake smile on her face.

"Emotions... I guess I feel fine but my head is spinning a little." Zara sighed and brought her gaze to the door and looked like she was waiting for someone.

Paige made a mental note of this and reached for Zara's disk. While doing so Zara had straightened up and glared at the thought of someone other than herself touching her disk. Paige laid a hand on her shoulder and let a real smile show through. WHAT IF SHE FINDS OUT WHAT, DO I DO THEN? Zara calm down you're in safe hands at least it's not clu. Zara shuddered then let out a small whimper.

"Zara I'm not going to hurt you I just want to check your coding. We don't want you to lose anything now do we?" Paige reached for the disk again and this time she could take it off without having Zara move in anyway.

Alright time to see the coding Paige thought as she pulled open Zara's health on her disk. As Paige began to search through the code she began to notice how similar the complexity was to... an ISO coding how is this possible? I thought the ISOs were destroyed by Clu. How did she survive?

Suddenly Paige's mind became full of when she first worked at the hospital and how her friends were killed by the ISOs. Or rather by her. It was all her fault that cycle. Now she had to live with that choice and she regretted helping those two ISO they were the reason Paige turned out the way she did. Paige dropped the disk and collapsed on the floor making Zara's envy green eyes fill with fear.

"Nurse... Paige?" Zara swung her legs off the bed and tried to lower herself slowly to the floor but that failed and she landed on her butt. Then she scooted closer to Paige and pulled her into a tight embrace never wanting to let go of the poor program.

"All I want to do is help..." A single tear ran down Paige's cheek as she sat still letting Zara tell her how much she wanted to help and whatever happened in the past was over now and she could only focus on the future. This caused Paige to start sobbing and she let it happen not really caring who saw what.

....In the other room....

Zed blinked a few times and looked over at Mara who was staring at him with concerned, teroid eyes.

"Mara...." Zed muttered.

"Zed? You alright?" This time Mara wrapped her arms around Zed and made sure he couldn't go anywhere.

"Mara..." Zed tried again but his voice had failed him again. Mara there is so much I want to tell you but I can't form the words. Zed sighed in defeat.

Mara buried her face in his shoulder and started crying. Mara...

Sky: Know there was a lot of crying in this chapter but I found it necessary. If you don't like it stop reading this. I would never do that to you lovely people it does get less teary eyed I promise!

Beck: So close Paige keep trying!

Zed: Wow I really would have liked a little more writing.

Sky: I know but be quite. Anyway...
