I finally finished this part!! :)
Btw, I haven't included the entire cast of Gotham, like even some of the mains due to laziness. I admit it, I'm very lazy as one can tell from my lack of scheduled updating and poor editing.
But, here is chapter 3, hope you guys enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was now Friday morning and Red was delivering the morning paper to the police force. when she got to the detectives' desks, she noticed that Edward was there with them. She walked up quietly and placed the papers on the desks before handing one to Edward.
"Good morning, gentlemen," she greeted them with a smile. "Nygma," she said with a nod.
"Red," he nodded back, "What's white and red and pink all over?"
She scrunched her nose in thought for a moment as Bullock groan and complained, "Nygma, just shut up with the riddles and tell us what you've got for us!"
"A baby in a blender?" Red finally answered.
Ed clapped once and grinned. "Precisely! A mother put her baby in a blender yesterday evening. That's not the crim I have for you two, detectives, I just found it interesting."
"What's the damn case, Ed?!" Harvey shouted, ignoring the fact that Red was listening in on their conversation.
"A series of robberies, as is covered in the paper this morning," Edward finally explained, holding up the front page of the paper she'd just handed him. She kept a straight face as he further explained the case. "Due to lack of an observation of the thief's profile, she hasn't been nicknamed. All we do know is that it's a female wearing a jacket with a hood who so far picks the apartments randomly, though she sticks to the same general area. Also, she's skilled in building scaling."
"So basically we have nothing to go on except a vague description?" Jim asked with slight annoyance.
"Basically. Here's the only picture we've gotten of her," Edward handed Jim a picture from a security camera. Red noticed the picture was one of a skinny female scaling the side of a building and trying to open a window. The subject was obviously careful to not show her face, using a hood to cover her face and hair, though the rain from when the photo was taken obscured the view as well.
"Well, good luck on the case, detectives. Nygma. I gotta finish my route before I get yelled at by my boss," Red excused herself with a smile before quickly leaving.
Red knocked on the fifth door of the apartment building and waited for it to be opened. The same young man from before, Oswald Cobblepot, answered and smiled. "Hello again, Red. I see you've probably noticed that Mr. Greyson hasn't bothered you today."
"Yeah, I did. Thanks! Tell me, how'd you get him to stop?" She asked with curiosity in her high-pitched voice.
"Oh, don't concern yourself with that, just know he won't ever bother you, or anyone, again."
Red tilted her head to feign confusion but then shrugged knowing he wouldn't be telling her anytime soon. "Well, okay then. Here's your paper, Penguin."
He took the rolled up paper from her hand and smiled again. "Thank you, Red."
She nodded before turning away and continuing on her route as he closed the door
"Mother, that nice paper deliverer was just here. You really should meet her sometime," Oswald said to his mother, who was reclining on the couch.
