The set that The Singing Sixties Sirens did was amazing. I lie, Chase was amazing. All I could hear was his drumming and his occasional backing vocals. His voice matched his look. Deep and sexy. I could just imagine him playing his drums, the concentration making his brow crease. It was a plus and a negative we were in the tent next to him. The plus was that it was easy to see him and talk to him. The negative being I couldn't watch them perform. Shame.
"You ready?" David called to me from where he was stood.
I nodded and walked to the mic. "Afternoon Tampa Bay!" An applause echoed over us. "We are Crying for the Sinners if you didn't know and I hope you like what we do!" Another applause echoed as Andy started off the song with his drum solo.
---
7 songs and roughly half an hour later we all collapsed on the stage, unable to control our bodily functions. My throat was raw from having to shout as the microphone kept cutting out on me, leaving me to fend for myself. God Damn Technology.
"I am so tired!" Tommy was sprawled out next to me, hugging his bass.
"And warm..." I added. I'd shed the hoodie about half way trough the set, my guitar strap kept getting caught in the hood. I leant across the stage lazily and grabbed the hoodie. My phone fell out the pocket, unlocked.
There was a text from Chase 'Well done you guys! At least you didn't fall... xxx'
'Biggest accomplishment ever... :) xxx'
"What are we gonna do for the rest of the day?" David asked, sitting up.
"Sleep..." Andy laughed, turning onto his side and curling up in a ball.
I slapped his thigh, the leather pants making it sound dramatically louder. "Aww. My poor Andy! What are you going to be like if we do a two and a half hour tour show...?"
He lifted up his head and narrowed his eyes at me. "One word my friend. Backing track"
"Um Andy. Thats two words!" Tommy laughed, still hugging his bass.
"Told you I was tired!" He smirked.
I shook my head and rolled onto my front, awkwardly taking my phone out of my pocket. I caught sight of myself in the black screen. My hair was a mess, as usual, and my make up had smudged from sweating (And sitting with my face in Chase's neck but shhh. Tell no one!)
I unlocked it and checked my messages to find one from Molly, Andy's girlfriend. I wonder why she texted me and not him...? 'Hey, missing you guys! How's it going? Any way, to the point! I'm gonna drive up on Wednesday to surprise Andy so don't tell him! Lots of Luck for the week! M x'
I "Awwwwwed" inside my head as I read the message. 'Everything is fine thanks! We've just done our first set and I think it's killed the guys... I'm sure Andy is missing you like crazy! I wont tell him! There's enough secrets between us guys, I'm sure another wouldn't hurt! See you in the week, A x' I had to keep checking that non of the guys were peeping over my shoulder as I texted. Knowing them, they would.
"Hey Gorgeous!"
I lazily turned around to see Chase coming up the stairs with a grin on his face. He was probably checking out my ass. "Howdy!"
"Spacing out, I'm guessing?" He laid down next to me, face up.
I propped myself up on my elbows and smiled at him. "I'm only letting those guys chill! They were absolutely flaked!"
"Amateurs!" He laughed.
"Hey! Rude!" David sighed.
Chase held up his hands in defence "Sorry Bro..."
"You will be" David laughed sarcastically.
"I'm scared!" Chase sat up and narrowed his eyes, like in one of those stand off's in The Old West.
I pushed Chase back down onto the stage with my hand. "Now Now, Calm it ladies!"
"If I'm the lady, who are you?" He rolled onto his side, his head on his hand.
"One of us has to wear the pants, and I don't look good in a dress so-"
"I bet I'd look good in a skirt! A kilt or something!"
I burst into laugher. "You'd look sexy in anything but I bet you cant rock a bin bag like I can!"
He creased his brow "No. I will let you take that one..."
'Gee- Thanks!"
"No problem babe!"
We were both facing each other, smiling. Chase slung his hand over my waist, and I laughed. (I am REALLY ticklish) He started laughing when I batted his hand away, squirming about. "Don't! I'm so ticklish!"
"In that case..." He ran his hand up my side and I jumped up, squealing with laugher.
"Stop it!" I shouted between laughing and trying to keep Chase, who had stood up after me and wrapped me in a hug, from tickling me anymore.
"Never!" He said with an evil laugh. He scooped my up in his arms to stop me from getting away, his hands cold on my back.
"Fine then!" I pouted and clamped my hands behind his neck to keep me from falling. "Oh hang on! Just let me grab my phone!" I couldn't risk leaving it with the boys, Andy might find out Molly was coming up.
"Oh no! You aren't getting away that easy!" He smiled and kissed my shoulder. "David-"
David groaned and stood up, grabbing my phone on the way. He dropped it in my hand then flopped back on the floor, yawning. "There-"
"Thanks!" I turned my head back to Chase. "Where are we going anyway"
He smirked at me and raised his eyebrows, trying not to fall down the stairs. "You'll see!"
