When we were quite fan away from the tent ring Chase put me back down on my feet and took my hand in his. "Well this is nice-"
"Speak for yourself. I was just carried for ages not knowing where I was being carried to-" I swung our interlocked hands as we walked along the grass.
"You should enjoy it!"
"I didn't-" The sun was well past midday point now and it was dropping slowly. "How about we go back to that pavilion?"
"You read my mind!"
We walked in silence, just enjoying each others company I guess. Crowds were still really thick, even as we got further away from the tents. It felt nice being recognised by people, I have to say. There's your nasty staring and pointing, then theres the 'OMG, she's totally famous' pointing and staring. I liked it, this was the first year that Crying for the Sinners had actually kicked off properly. The past two or so years has been trying to find out who we are and what we want to actually do. After what happened this morning, we know that we are in the right business. Could you imagine any of us doing something different? Andy working in a bank? Tommy a bin man?
Chase pulled me up onto the pavilion and wrapped his arms around me. "What could you possibly be thinking about to be THAT quiet?"
"You-"
A smile spread across his face. "Nice Answer!"
"Thought you might like it!" I smiled and stretched up on my toes to kiss Chase.
He pressed his lips to mine and pulled me in closer to him.
"Why are you so perfect?" I asked, trying to keep on my tip toes without tipping over.
Chase picked me up and I wrapped legs around his hips, my arms around his neck. "It comes naturally! I can't help how awesome I am!"
"Well stop, your hotness hurts!" I laughed and pushed my forehead into his, finally being able to reach without hurting myself.
"I'm ever so sorry! I really would if I could!" He buried his face in my hair that was brought to the side of my head.
"Well that isn't good enough, I'm afraid..." I dropped down from him and sat on the floor with my arms crossed.
He sat down next to me and sighed. "Women, you are such hard work!"
"HEY!" I hit him on the arm, harder than I expected to.
"Oh, you did not!" Chase crinkled up his nose and pushed my shoulder lightly.
I smiled, shook my head and I pushed his shoulder. As he fell (very, very, dramatically) he grabbed my wrist and pulled me down next to him. I rested my head on his shoulder and laughed. "This is probably not looking so hot to anyone watching!"
"Who cares about them losers?"
I had to agree, this moment was perfect. I had my head on his shoulder and he was messing with my hair which had fallen over his arm. The sun was slowly dropping further and the decreasing temperature made me snuggle into Chase's side further.
"What are you thinking right now...?" Chase asked me, dropping my hair over my face.
I turned further on my side, to look him in the face. I took a couple of strands of my hair and tickled his face with it. "I am thinking about what the guys are doing now!"
"Maybe they are getting ready for tonight?"
"What's tonight?"
"You didn't know...?"
"Obviously not! What is it?" I sat up and cocked my head to one side.
Chase sighed and sat up. "You gotta keep up!" He took my hands in his "There is a sort of dance up in the north tents. All the big bands get together and do a concert for other acts"
"Ooh, sounds fun!" I stuck out my tongue at him.
"Would you like to go with me?"
"Duh! Who doesn't like dancing?"
Chase raised his arm in the air slightly. "I can't dance..." He pulled me onto his lap, kissing my nose. "Come to my bus at about 7, oh, and wear something pretty!"
"Don't I always look pretty?"
"Not in those shorts! You could kill a thousand men in them!" He tucked my fringe behind my ear. "And sort that hair out! Sheesh! I refuse to date a scarecrow!"
I ruffled my hair up even more than it was. "And miss all this?!"
He raised his eyebrows and laughed. "What am I thinking? How could I?"
I leant my head on his chest and closed my eyes. "You couldn't miss it all! Because you love it!"
"You're right, I do love you..."
"I love you too-"
Meep. He loves me, and I love him. Best day ever.
