I looked like an idiot and I knew it. I was wearing Chase's hoodie that was about 5 times too big for me, making it look like I was naked underneath (Just to clarify I wasn't naked underneath, I had shorts and a crop top on) and I was smiling like an absolute freak.
"Its nice for you to grace us with your presence!" Tommy said as I walked up the stairs to our stage.
"I have news-" I said, still smiling like a creep.
"You're going out with Chase?" David asked.
"Yea- How did you-?" I answered with another question.
"We have eyes..."
I nodded and smiled wider. "So! Are you happy for me?"
Tommy grabbed me in a playful headlock "Of course we are happy for you kiddo! It's Angie's first love!"
Andy looked at me with his 'signature smirk' that would send any girl (I'd become immune to this after seeing it all the time...) into a state of love paralysis. "So-"
I tried to cock my head to the side and failed attempting to push Tommy off from around my neck. "Will you get off Tommy!"
"No! Im happy for you!" He laughed, loosing his arm slightly.
I managed to slip out from his grip, my hair now looking like a very angry raccoon (I like raccoons, ok!) was nesting in it.
"Thank you!"
David looked up from tuning his guitar (Thats all he does-) "How long 'til our set starts?"
I checked the time on my phone, also to find another text from Chase on the screen "It's 9:40" I said unlocking my phone and looking at the text.
'When are you guys playing? xxx'
'After you! :) xxx' I replied with a feint laugh.
"I think they are starting in a few so do you guys fancy meeting up with the guys next to us and joining the crowd?" I asked, shoving my phone in the pocket of the hoodie. The crowds were really thickening up around the tents now. Security guards had locked the barrier gate separating the edge of the stage and the grass, meaning we had sort of priority passes to any stage in the circle. That and the pass clipped to the back pocket of my shorts.
"You are only saying that so you can spend time with your boyfriend!" David laughed, putting his guitar on its stand and winking at someone in the crowds of people.
"Yes, I am!" I said matter of factly.
"Fair do's"
I pulled out my phone and unlocked it 'Wanna listen to the first set band to band? xxx'
It took him less than two minutes to reply 'Hell yeah, be right there :) xxx'
I smiled at my phone screen, then grabbed my bag from behind the drum kit where I kept it for safe keeping.
"You guys ready?"
"As I've ever been..." Tommy said sarcastically.
I perched on the stage steps, staring at the floods of people getting into the music starting at the first tent. It was quite fast music, sort of like what we played, but different. Sort of electro style. I was dragged (I was sort of scared out of it actually) out of my little dream world when someone's hand closed around mine.
You ready?" Chase grinned.
I bit my lip, I wanted to smile then just run away and giggle. But I played it cool. "Sure!"
"These guys are good, we were with them last year-" Our fingers were intertwined, Chase awkwardly avoiding my rings.
"They sound amazing. This is my sort of music!" I was getting pretty warm in the hoodie but I didn't want to take it off, it was too comfy.
"Same here" He pulled me along the grassy strip between the stage and the barrier. We laughed at all the people getting pushed up against one another in the ring, it was so satisfying being on the other side of it all.
I turned my head around to see Tommy and David walking with the guys from The SSS and Andy (unfortunately) stuck at the back with Ashley going on and on. I was glad I wasn't in Andy's position. I could probably think he would rather be holding hands with Chase (But who wouldn't?) than stuck talking to a walking birds nest.
Chase dropped my hand when we reached an all male group, he shoulder bumped them all, then stepped back to my side and slipped his arm around my waist. "Guys this is Angie-"
They all nodded at me and a buff guy with quite a lot of tattoos stepped forward to shake my hand. "I'm Mark-" he pointed back to the two others stood behind him "And these are Todd and Max!"
"Hey-" It was just extremely awkward.
Chase said his goodbyes and he sat on the edge of the second stage. He leant down to me and put his hands around my waist, then he lifted me up next to him. "I think you've eaten one to many pancakes!" He laughed.
"Probably should have let Andy eat them this morning then!" I narrowed my eyes and pouted.
"Na! I wanted them!" He tapped the end of my nose with his finger and laughed.
"Well that is just greedy!"
"Says you!"
"I did say it by a matter of fact-"
"No way, I thought it was Bob Marley!"
"That would be awesome..." I said in a deep voice, sticking out my tongue.
"It would be pretty awesome!"
The song had changed to something completely drum and bass now, and the crowd in front of us had turned from swaying bodies to a full out mosh pit. The way it had changed so drastically made Chase and I howl with laugher. I don't think we were listening to the the music, we were attempting to have a conversation over the incredibly loud music.
Chase pulled me onto his lap.
"Can you hear me now?" He practically shouted in my ear.
"Vaguely!" I shouted back, burying my face into his neck.
"Good!" I felt him smile as his arms wrapped around my waist.
I had butterflies beating away in my stomach. It just felt so nice sat there with him, snuggled up to him.
