I woke up in the morning, I tossed and turned trying to sleep but I couldn't fall asleep.

I finally decided to get up, I slipped out of bed trying to be careful not to wake August up.

I walked around to the side of the bed and threw on my silk Versace robe august brought me and walked out the room.

I went outside and sat on the patio and listened to the waves and closed my eyes trying to relax. Seems like everything been going by fast now a days and I'm trying to keep up with it, I just want to hold on to the memories forever.

I started to write a song about it but, it came out like poetry to me and I tried to sing it but, the beat of the song was at a high pace.

It's like a song for a rapper, I think I'll save this song for someone special I didn't even realize the sun was coming out until joy walked out.

She didn't even say nothing, she just came up to me with her thumb in her mouth and stood in front of me.

I picked her up and she laid her head on my chest, and I rocked her back in forth while she slept.

Today was the day we were going to adopt Joy and take her birth mother to court and I was shocked, when Joy was actually happy when August told her the news.

"Mommy B when are we going to go to my new home?" She asked and I smiled playing in her curls

"Sunday we leave but, we aren't going home just yet. We're going to meet Auggie's family and then were going home" I said and she smiled and kissed my cheek leaving a little of her drool on me

"Okay we will start this with the birth mother's story and go on from there" The judge said and I put on my 'why the fuck you lying mug' already ready for her lies

"Well I was gone for a couple of hours with my boyfriend and we left for a few drink..." Her Jamaica accent was cut off when the judge stopped her

"So you left your two year old daughter at home alone, no one there with her. Correct?" The judge said and her birth mother nodded

"Well Mrs. Jenkins that is very...un mature. That's not something that a mother should do, if you wanted to go out then you should have had someone watch her and you didn't. I've also heard that Joy your daughter was left at home for two days. So I can you answer where you were during those two days" The judge said and I was just like got em bitch

"Um...........I was out taking care of my mother who was very ill." She said and the judge took her glasses off

"Mrs. Jenkins were not going to sit here and Lie. I know you're lying because one you said you wanted to go out and now you're saying you were out taking care of your mother. If you were taking care of you mother that should have been your first response. I don't want to hear no more from you" She said and I sat up straight sitting pretty

"Mrs. Knowles and Mr. Alsina are you going to take care of and provide for Joy and do everything a parent should do?" The judge asked us and we both stood hand in hand

"We promise, we want to show this little girl the love and care she needs. We want to raise her into the best we can and give her." I said and the judge sighed

"Okay you may adopt joy but, her mother will be able to visit her one week out of the month. This case is closed" The judge said and me and August hugged each other smiling once we heard the bang
