Are you insane? Ricky couldn't grasp Steve's decision. What the fuck happened to meeting someone else and forgetting about her. Steve sat there with his hands wrapped around a mug and staring into it. Look you wouldn't understand. Why are you doing this to yourself this can't end well she's only 17 you can't honestly think she's going to stay with you forever. Ok first she's 18 now and yes I do she she's not like other people her age. That's what everyone says no one thinks there like anyone else there age. Look no one even knows how old she is other than people that already know her. People online have a way of finding things out Steve and people are going to be allot more judgemental than me, people are going to start calling you a paedophile. Alright calm down Rick she's not that young. Well you know the internet Steve she might as well be. Steve got up from the table leaving his cup there. You know what you can't make up your mind Rick one minute you want me to be happy and the next your saying you'd rather I'd be sad and alone. That's not what I'm saying Ste-. Yes it is! just get out! Before I had known you for years and you had never bothered coming round my house and now when it suits you you decide you'll come round here giving me lectures on what I should do with my life JUST FUCK OFF! The pure shock on Ricky's face as Steve burst in front of him, Steve almost couldn't believe that he had said all that he has never been that sort of person to get so worked up. Ricky put his hands up and started backing out the room. That's fine Steve from now on your on your own. Steve waited til Ricky was out the front door before collapsing in the chair he had been previously sitting on at the table.

Sylvia walks in the front door. I'm back what you been up....to? what's wrong? Steve looked up from the table at her and attempted a smile. Nothing. Ok well we both know that is bullshit I go home to see my family for a few hours and everything falls apart now what is it? Steve sighed. I've just lost my best friend. There was a pause. Care to elaborate on that what do you mean? He lent back in the chair. Me and Ricky just had an argument......about you. What? Whats he been saying? Look I don't want to bother you with all this.  Well that's a little tough now tell me. Fine...well he isn't happy about my decision to...carry on seeing you a-and he totally flipped about me announcing it on twitter. Sylvia stands there silent with a face that suggests she is lost in thought, she proceeds to the kitchen and puts the kettle on before coming and sitting next to Stephen. I don't know what I expected it was obvious he wouldn't like me. It's not that though I bet he'd love you if he got to know you it's just the age thing he-he just doesn't want to know. It's fine Steve you don't need to comfort me over it, it should be me worrying about you you guys have been friends for years like almost as long as I've been alive for I don't want you two to hate each other other me it wouldn't be right. Steve rested his hand on Sylv's shoulder. Look I'll never hate Rick but if he can't accept you then that's his fault I'd rather keep you in my life than friend that couldn't possibly be a real friend if he can't accepts my choices in life. Sylvia wiped her eye with the back of her hand. Gosh I hate this making me feel things I've never been the person to have emotions and shit. Steve chuckled. Feelings aren't so bad once you get used to them. They both heard the little flip of the kettle as it boiled, Steve got up. You stay here I'll make your tea you just get used to your new found feelings. Sylvia smiled. Oh shut up pfft feelings nothing I can't handle.....I think.

After everything earlier I never got to ask how was your visit back home? Sylvia seemed to be trying to hide her face. Sylvia? There was another pause. They reacted just like Ricky... they almost tried to lock me inside and get me to stay home. What!? You are aware that's technically kidnapping doesn't matter if your family. Steve sat down on the bed next to her and she turned to face him and rest her head on his shoulder. They think I'm stupid, even though they are fans of yours they are like you are still 38 years old what am I thinking he may be brilliant but brilliant for someone else. They said that? Well not those words exactly but something similar but with lots of swearing. Well now I know where you get it from. what you talking about my language is completely adequate. Pfft yes of course absolutely wonderful....well it seems we're both on our own. Oh hush we don't need others support to get on with our lives I hate people they can fuck right off...I mean they can kindly go away and leave us without any bother and such. Ahahaha I think I'd prefer it if you just swore that was quite the display there. Thank fuck for that I mean I can dress differently but gosh this is my life's work the perfect display of I don't give a fuck and I don't think I can give that up. Steve snickered. Lord...an odd couple we are one who is utterly rubbish at conversation and always says the wrong thing but continues to babble on digging a bigger hole and one that just tries to avoid conversation at all costs and if she has one it's filled with swear words and constant innuendos. In your endo. Really? What? oh c'mon you set yourself up for that one. They both giggled. Yeah your right...fuck the world.
