I'm Fine

As I looked you in the eyes,
With tears in my eyes,
Faking a smile,
I whispered 'I'm fine',
As you looked at my thigh,
Covered in scars,
Eyes going fine,
I whisper 'I'm fine',
As I picked at my food,
Not eating a thing,
Your look said it all,
So I whispered 'I'm fine,'
As I held a gun to my head,
And looked you in the eyes,
Tears in my eyes,
I whispered 'Goodbye,
Maybe you should have listened,
When I said I was fine,
Because I am not,
Nor was I ever fine',
And with a bang,
A scream filled the air,
Tears were shed,
And you whispered,
To me one phrase,
'I'm sorry.'
