I saw Josh take off as Stella looked at me confused. "I'll be right back."
I ran after Josh, seeing him sitting alone against a wall. He doesn't notice or acknowledge my presence, so I say, "Josh."
"What, Tyler?"
"What the hell was that?" Him acting so calm about this pisses me off.
"Was what?"
"THAT JOSH. Stella came, willingly I might add, to talk to you. And you ran away. For all I know you could have blew it with her."
His face droops, looking sad and depressed. I know as soon as the words slip out of my mouth, I knew that I had screwed up. Sometimes that I have to watch my words with Josh. "Listen dude, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it so harshly. I just want to see you happy and I really think that Stella could do that." With that, I walk away, back to where I left Stella, this time with headphones in. She notices me walking up before taking them out.
"Is he alright?"
"He'll be alright. Sorry about that."
"It's alright."
"Listen, Josh and I are in a band together. We have a practice today after school. How about you come by? I can text you the number."
"Sounds good. As long as you guys aren't singing about My Little Pony."
"Sounds good."
