After lunch everyone were gathered at the back of the house.They were having a few drinks.Robert and Norman were sitting in the stool drinking, beside the pool.Across the pool were Jam, Madi, Arcival and Brandon.In the garden a bit distant in the pool were Nasser and Belinda.Matthew and Ayessa were in the grocery.Aunt Emmy ask them to buy some ingredients needed for her pasta and cake.Cattleya is in the kitchen with Emmy.Away from the sight of Nasser and Belinda.
"Cattleya, you should join them outside.Have fun dear." Emny told her.Emmy was busy preparing something to bake.
"Yeah I will later Ma'am Emmy", she said lazily.She don't feel like talking with anyone today.And she don't want to be home alone.
"Catt, kindly bring this whisky to Robert", Emmy said.Cattleya knows she just want her to enjoy outside.
"Okay", and get the bottle of whisky and some chips.Emmy smiled watching her.
As she approach outside she saw farther from the group the two lovebirds.Belinda's hands were on Nasser's waist.She was about to kiss him.She turn her face to Jam.He's not yet alone.He was with the others.She directly walk towards the two older men.
"Sir Robert, whiskey and chips", she smiled at the two gentlemen.
"Thank you Catt, have a seat", he tap the chair between him and Norman.She took it.
"How old are you by the way Cattleya, before I'll offer you a drink", Norman smiled.
She snickered.
"I'm 20 Sir Norman,..
"Call me Norman Catt.", while handing her a glass.
"By the way Cattleya, you haven't to school.Where are your parents?",Robert asked.
She sigh.But she answer.
"I haven't known my father since.My mom remarried when I was nine and lost contact with her.I was left in my grandmother's care.She was sickly.When I was 18, she died.That's when I started working.", she said casually.
"Now I know why I could see toughness inside this tiny woman.So inspiring and brave you are", Robert proudly said.Cattleya just smiled.
"He's right Catt.Others in your situation would not make it.If I were your father, I would be so much proud of you.Beautiful and responsible person", Norman said truthfully.
But he was too coward to even see Mama while I was still in her tummy.Cattleya thought.
