Heavy feet dragged the body attached to them, and as Elizabeth stood in the middle of the Gryffindor Common Room she just stared into space. How much she dreaded coming here, with it's cozy colors and cackling fire she had spent many a lonely night within these walls.. That was until she actually became close with Hermione anyway. Sitting atop the reddish brown leather couch, just stared and stared.

Shadow, sensing his girl's sudden spell of depression hopped into her lap and began purring the way he always did when begging for attention. Her hand felt light against his fur.. The way it always did when her mind was away. He didn't understand why she was so sad, he thought she would be very happy moving to Slytherin. "Mew!" He pawed at the hand that lay still on his back as he rolled onto his belly, gently nibbling the top of her fingers.
When she didn't react, he knew it must have been serious, and lay still and quiet, purring as loud as he could to comfort her. The air soon carried a cinnamon-ginger fragrance making him frown.. And with it followed a very loud bunch.

" HAHA! Did you see it!? The look on his face! That was genius!" Fred grinned slapping his twin on his back.

"Thank you!" George smirked, " Mr. Flitch's cat had never looked better aye?" He snickered before meeting the tiny green orbs of Shadow who now was sitting on the couch's arm staring at them," Speaking of cat's why don't we give Shadow 'ere a little spin!" He joked as he extended a hand to stroke the kitten's head.

" He's feisty today!" Joked Fred as his brother quickly retracted his hand a second before the little feline clawed out at him.

"I was only kiddin!" George chuckled kindly, " You know I wouldn't hurt you!" He leaned forward so he could be eye level with the fur ball. When he was met with an obvious frown he stood back up; Shadow running off ahead. "I wonder what's gotten into him." Turning to his left found Fred pacing upto the girl who seemed glued to the fireplace. Deciding to give his brother and the girl some space, headed up to the boy's dormitory to retrieve another stash of candy that would make their customers sick enough to skip class.

"Hey.." Fred said quietly as his eyes darted to his exiting brother who waved him on. "Lizzy..?" He said again only to be met with silence. Not really sure how to begin, stayed silent for the longest time. She seemed absent from the mind, her whole profile like a decorative statue in this once seemingly comfortable room. Elizabeth seemed to have a dark cloud hover over her. " Heard you're finally transferring!" He added in a weak cheerful tone. " Can't be that bad- I mean- it's what you've always wanted right?" He chuckled leaning back resting his arm on the sofa's topmost frame lazily. "It's not everyday that a Gryffindore turns Slytherin, you should be proud to be the first one!" He egged on, on purpose. Observant eyes noticed her fists curl and grinned, so she was listening. " Ol' Malfoy must be ecstatic to have his sweetheart come home," he provoked. Fred sensed the tension in the air, but no word was uttered by the girl. { She's patient..} he mentally noted.

"Stupid Weasley.." She said in an inaudible tone. {Does he really wanna die?} she scowled inwardly as she remembered that incident that nearly killed a student. She was positive that Olivia's father had much influence over her transferring out. She couldn't control this thing.. This cold dark thing that itched to kill things.. This cold dark thing.. That lived inside of her. The voices in her head telling her to do things that she really didn't want to do.

"Hey.. Elizabeth..?" The girl jumped to her feet with a start as Fred placed a concerned hand upon her shoulder.

"Don't touch me!" She found herself screaming. Narrowed eyes fixed on Fredrick, softened at his startled demeanor, " I'm sorry I-" she paused her apologetic display the moment Ron came in carrying Scabbars- plainly irritated that his rat was almost eaten again.
