I remembered well, the Winter Ball last year.. The dance to which I would never forget. Sighing deeply I just lay by my window in the room, unable to take a second glance at the dress I had brought that now lay spread across my bed. It was the same one Victor had given to me all those many months ago. Rubbing my chilled arm, leaned my forehead against the frosted windowpane; determined not to go.
The constant whisperings really started annoy me.. And I began to just withdraw my thoughts. { Maybe I'll just skip tonight, and go to the garden and play that song again..} I pondered.

"She's been like this ever since-" I heard one of the other girls whisper, only to pause when I looked over my shoulder. My heart hurt, how could Hermione do this to me..? She should have said no when he asked her to the ball.. But why didn't she..? Didn't she know? Didn't she read my letters..? Didn't she care..? Or did the rivalry between our schools engrave the divide. How could Victor do this to me as well.. I.. Just don't get it.." Who needs them anyway," I muttered quietly.

"Elizabeth.." It was the first time I had heard my full name spoken. It was Fleur.

Slowly turning, was met with a sisterly hug that I couldn't refuse, and without a second thought, all the thoughts and hurt feelings began rolling out of my eyes in quiet sobs. " Shh shhh eetz okay.. Just let eet out. Yew don't 'ave to come today.. I'll just tell Maxime your seek."

" I will also tell Michael that I can't go so I'll look after you," Gabrielle added as she sat next to me holding my hand. I really couldn't have asked for better friends..

"Aww," I couldn't control my tears," you guys are the best! But I couldn't ask you to do that Gabby.." The next words she said tugged my heart strings tightly, " Wot arrre sister's for!? We arre a family and must stick together." Gabby squeezed my had and smiled as I wiped the tears away with my left handed digits.

Fleur wiped my right cheek dry of stale tears, " Wot about zhat boy who gave you za charrm..?"

I chuckled, " He already asked Angelina."

"'is brother ees still -" Gabby was interrupted by Christine," Pardon," a girl with half done curls appeared in our room, " Thair ees a boy asking for you, want us to send 'im away?" Her tones were also annoyed and hinted with anger.

Gabby stood up angrily and protectively snapped, " Qui est-il!?" I got startled at her sharp tones.

The girl flinched at the tone, and frowned, " 'e iz one of za Weazley boyz"

Fleur turned to me, " Eet eez your call."

Gabby was set on having no one disturb me, " Zend 'im away." I was confused, for just a moment ago she was suggesting I go ask George to the dance.

" 'e said zat you would feel zat way and zaid to give zis to you." As Christine handed over the envelope I frowned. It was stamped with a W. Opening the envelope, I was very annoyed to find that there was only two lines at the center of the parchment.

" Save the last dance for me..
6pm at the Fat Lady and don't be late.

-George"
