Another Jack X Reader was requested by a few people. Can't remember their names so I apologize! ^_^'' Sorry for the wait.

Honestly you didn't know why Jack wanted you to go with him into town on his day off, you thought he'd want the day to himself but apparently not. He came to you first thing when he decided to take the day off, he didn't go straight home to bed, he never went to eat or kill anybody even though it was kind of his hobby, he came straight to you. Yes, you. He had something planned for you that day, something that you had talked to him about not long ago, and since you were basically he only person who didn't get on his nerves and listened to him, he respected you. You were one of his closest friends, one of very few which meant you were very dear to him and he'd do anything to make you happy. It was rare of him to be this way, but you barely got to this everyday, it was best to just not question him.

That is when he took you to the pier that evening your head was swimming with them. Why here of all places? If he was planning to take you out that evening why not at a restaurant or a movie? He never said a word to you as he took your hand and led you out onto the wooden walkway. The crystal blue waves below you washed upon the rocky shores and sandy beach making a soothing sound that was pleasant to your ears. You would have stopped to enjoy the view, but from the way Jack was pacing himself with you he was on a mission to go somewhere, you had no choice but to follow him.

He was pulling you rather roughly up that large hill, you tripped several times trying to catch your footing so you didn't slip back down. But Jack, thankfully, would turn back to you and slide his hand up your arm and onto your shoulder for support, then you'd trudge yourself up beside him to only be greeted by his lingering gaze. Your cheeks burned while he did so, his hand still resting on the crease of your back. Jack stayed right by your side as both of you continued up the hill.

Once you got to the top, hands suddenly covered your eyes which startled you slightly, not knowing what this man was about to do. His face came closer to the crook of your neck, and you could feel his breath on your skin, hot and sweet. Once he leaned over your shoulder you heard his rugged and heart throbbing voice whisper in your ear.

"(Y/n)," he began, a smile forming on his lips. Your heart began to beat faster and your cheeks flushed even. Whatever he was doing to you he needed to stop. . . This man was getting you excited.

You felt his hands slowly pull away from your eyes and onto your shoulders. They were strong and firm on your skin.

"Happy birthday."

Once you opened your eyes, they widened in surprise.

There on the top of the hill spread out neatly on the ground, was a blanket. It was hand made with some of the most softest, most comfortable fabric known throughout the galaxy. Off to the side were two bottles of your favorite drink and a small stereo that was playing soft music. You gasped in surprise, and happiness, because you never expected this to come from Jack. Out of all of the people working at Hyperion, he was the only person who actually remembered your birthday? It was shocking to you.

You swiveled your head back and forth to Jack and then to the blanket below you, still sort of confused. You heard him chuckle lowly, it was soothing and gruff.

"You gonna sit or not?" He asked as he looked at you, your eyes looking into his. You nodded quickly as few seconds after he took his hands off your shoulders.

"Y-yeah."

Both of you sat on the blanket while you drank your drinks. They were cooling as each drop hit the back of your throat. You were still unsure why Jack would do this, you don't even remember telling him about your birthday. Each swig you took, Jack watched you take sip after sip, the lump in your throat bobbing up and down every time. You sat with your legs tucked under your body while Jack had one leg arched while the other was down, he was half finished with his bottle already. Towards the last sip of your drink, you turned your head to see Jack already staring at you, your face immediately flushed red.

"Out of all of the days I've been at Hyperion," you start as you trace the rim of the bottle with your finger, "you pick today to bring me out here. . . How did you know it was my birthday?"

Jack scoffed and smiled at you.

"Sweetheart, I own Hyperion. I've got access to everyone's profiles."

"And yet you chose to go through mine, considering there are hundreds of people working there."

Jack didn't have an answer for you there. He just simply looked out at the horizon, the once blue water now into shades of orange and light pink. The sun was setting now, and it was beautiful. A slight breeze blew your hair in waves behind your shoulders.

Jack's eyes peeked over at you, your face was lit like a sunset, beautiful and calming. You truly looked at peace with yourself. To be honest this was actually the first time you had been on this hill, you never had time to do something like this. He was glad he could have brought you up here. Jack bit his lip as he continued to stare.

"You said before that you had never seen the ocean from up here." He said suddenly. Your head turned to look at him, he had gotten closer to you now. You nodded to answer him.

"That was months ago Jack," you say as you place the bottle to the side, "I'm surprised you remembered."

Jack chuckled. "I have a good memory sweetheart." He said as he pointed to his skull.

"Plus, I had something special done for you today."

Your head quickly swiveled sideways. Jack was oddly different today, you didn't know whether it was a good or bad thing, so you thought it best to just trust him and wait.

Jack told you that the both of you had to wait until nightfall, when it was completely dark. It was getting rather chilly the longer you sat there. Jack noticed your slight shivers that came from your body, and instinctively he grabbed the left corner of the blanket and pulled it over his shoulders. His other hand went for your top corner to pull it over you as well to protect you from the winds. Jack's arms cradled you like he lost his most precious possession and had found it, he was warm and inviting. He was also your CEO, which meant that if you gave into this rumors may start, and who knows what would happen between the two of you then.

Jack motioned his head behind you, and soon he laid you down gently on the soft grass beneath you. Your (h/c) hair spread across the ground, and soon your eyes met the stars. Blazes of colors and shapes filled the night sky, orange, pink, blue, purple, even the moon was out tonight. Everything was breathtakingly beautiful, you had never seen a night sky like this before. Your mouth stayed open slightly in awe, and your eyes zoomed across every inch of it. Jack's hand laid atop of yours on your stomach, you were cuddled up close with him.

"Jack, this is beautiful."

Jack slowly turned his head to look at you, your eyes lit up like they held the galaxy in them. He leaned his head in closer, the smell of your hair filled his nose as he snuggled up to you. His cheek laid on your head, and every few seconds he would turn his head a little more to plant small, light kisses onto your hair. You laid there with him as he did this. At first you weren't sure if he should be doing this, but with Jack's arms around and your head over his chest, you had never felt so safe and secure than you had ever felt before. Each time he kissed your head your eyes would close a little more, and you'd scoot a little more into him.

You were so shy of this man at first, you didn't know what he was going to do everyday you came to Hyperion. He seemed hard-headed and self centered, you had never thought he would be like this, loving and inviting. Jack surprised you today.

Suddenly, loud noises came from above you. You quickly sat up, and when you did a smile grew large on your face.

Fireworks boomed and exploded in the distance from the middle of the ocean, bright lights of various colors and patterns filled the sky as the remaining pieces floated on the top of the water. Was this what Jack was talking about? Did he plan all of the fireworks just for you? Your head turned to look up at him.

"This is my little surprise to you (y/n)." He said as he smiled at you.

You continued to watch the spectacle before you turned to him once more. With your hand on his chest, both of you fell back onto the grass once more to watch the rest of the show. You took in his scent, and soon your eyes began to slowly close.

"Happy birthday (y/n)."
