Four months after Jack's Death. . .

You were now on you're own, traveling the many wastelands and passing through the small towns on Pandora with just your guns and survival skills.  There was no going back to where you came from, after hearing about Jack's death you knew Hyperion wouldn't last, and you also knew it just wouldn't run the same without him even if they found someone new to replace him.

They day he sent you out to find that key, he never told you about the Vault Hunters he was trying to find; Miya the siren, Axton the mercenary, Zer0 the Assassin and El Salvador the Gunzerker.  You were hoping to God you never crossed paths with them on your travels.  Luckily you didn't; they must've been powerful people to take down a man like Handsome Jack.

It was two weeks, two weeks you had been searching for that damned key, and you were still alive and breathing after entering every bandit compound and killing them all.  There was so much blood on your hands, you were no longer just a simple business worker for Hyperion, you considered yourself a bandit as well, or a murderer, or a bounty hunter, or whatever the hell suited you best. News of your slaughter traveled, but you mostly killed bandits and bad people so the word was good about you.  Many people called you many titles; the Fox for your speed and cunning ways during battle, Champion for your courage and strength, or whatever other names they came up with.  Some thanked you for cleaning up the gruesome parts of the area, while others only thought of you as another bandit.  It had only been a few months and people knew of you.

You stayed hidden most of the time, the attire Jack provided for you was the only thing you mostly wore.  You kept your hood up and your mask on every second, if people found out you were from Hyperion you were done for, many blamed the planet's destruction on Jack, and you used to work for the man.

As far as survival goes, you've had a few scrapes and gun shot wounds, but none were as bad when you faced one of the Badass Psychos.  Bastard was tall, towering over you as you ran for cover, but it was too quick for you.  One of the grenades it threw exploded in mid air before it even hit the ground, resulting by exploding in your face and completely savaging the right side of your face.  It resulted in getting your eyes removed by one of the doctors in the nearest town.  You now had an Echo eye implanted in your once empty eye socket.  When you first used it you didn't know what the hell was going on; everything was either buzzing in your head, people were blue and you could examine things even greater than with just your regular eye.  Eventually you got used to it, even though that was all you could see now in one eye.

You were used to being alone now, wandering wherever the wind took you.  Until you heard the news of your life one day at a local tavern.  Men whispered of something you used to chase, something priceless, something worth going after again; the vault key you were sent to go after those four months ago.  It was still on Pandora, and you were going after it, only for the wonders that Jack had promised you from before.  It would have been wonderful to finally settle, despite the not-so-long time period you had traveled even though you had trained for it.  A part of you still wasn't used to killing, even though half the men you killed were bloodthirsty morons.

You began your search immediately. . . again.

Sure, getting shot by madmen hurt, but nothing hurt worse than getting run over by a fucking van.  A van.  Whoever did it was in a hurry, they didn't even stop once they got right on your rear end, they then decided to skid to a stop.  You felt like your insides were exploding, bleeding from the inside and seeping into every part of your body, the pain was excruciating despite the combat you went through everyday.
