So Lydia doesn't actually have a concussion guys. I went back and changed that. She just hit her head really hard. Alright, read on!

Scott:

"Scott!" He whipped his head around to see his soulmate, beaming and running towards him.

He smiled back softly, "Allison."

Things had been moving so fast during these past two days, like the whole world was on fast forward. First, Lydia had almost got a concussion.

Stiles had gone completely insane with worry, like he actually couldn't think about anything else. Scott supposed he would do the same thing if it happened to Allison. And of course he was worried about the little red head- er- strawberry blonde as Stiles so often reminded him, too. He was sort of starting to build a strange kind of friendship with her.

Anyway... After Lydia was emitted and Stiles wouldn't be able to see her for at least another hour or two, they headed back to the lacrosse field where they were supposed to meet at 4:00. Stiles, still not completely forgetting he was mad at Scott, had come up with a plan on how to control himself around Allison. He had stolen-er- "temporarily misappropriated" a heart rate monitor from coach's office. If Scott could get the hang of maintaining his heartbeat, he would be able to shift, or not shift, at will. It wasn't a bad plan except for the part when Stiles binded Scott's wrists together with duct tape and chucked lacrosse balls at him.

In the beginning, it was clear Scott was absolutely miserable at "not wolfing out", but somewhere between two rolls of duct tape he began to get the hang of it. He couldn't stop thinking about Allison while doing this, which in the beginning he thought was a problem, but he started to realize it was thinking of her that was helping him.

'some kind of anchor' Stiles had mumbled when Scott shared his thoughts. He liked that. His anchor.

She hadn't been the reason he couldn't control the shift, she was the solution.

The next day was Allison's birthday, Lydia had warned him - against her will - a week in advance. Scott was so excited that he didn't have to worry about slipping out of control around her anymore that he simply couldn't wait to celebrate with her. He convinced her even before the bell rang, to skip school with him and go adventuring in the woods. He wanted to spend the whole day with her, to help keep her mind off her best friend. Of course, he also wanted to be there for Stiles (who was still acting like a complete maniac) but Stiles had insisted- 3 times -that they go; he was planning on leaving school early to check if he could see Lydia, anyway. So they went. And It was amazing. Now they were closer than ever, and Scott just couldn't get enough of his anchor.

"You have to come see this." Allison hissed shaking him back to the reality of sitting in a waiting chair outside of Lydia's hospital room. Him and Allison had decided to come to the hospital after Stiles had decided to play hookie all day, to see if he was here. And judging by her face, he was definitely here. That, or she had seen some sort of magical creature inside Lydia's room. He hoped Stiles was the magical creature.

Scott let his soulmate pull him out of his chair and silently lead him inside.

Sure enough, there Stiles was, all snuggled up inside- Wait, what?!

Scott opened his mouth to say something along the lines of: ahhjsakhfgfSJLFksjdhflaasfLjSah!?

Put Allison covered it up with her hand, before he could.
