Soon all the students finished their lunch.
Vibha: Nandu I have science so bye
Nandani: bye Vibha
Mukti and Vibha: we have arts so bye
Alya: bye
Nandani: Alya I have library so I am leaving ok
Manik(checking his schedule): Nan's wait up I am coming too, I have library with you
Nandani: yaa chalo bye guys catch you after school
Manik and Nandani leave for the library.
Manik: so how was your morning
Nandani: achi thi. How was yours???
Manik: MG my morning was bullshit, that gym teacher is soo dam annoying, esa lagta hai ke woh meri hi wait kar raha tha, meri life hell bana ne ki
Nandani: Manik he can't be that bad
Manik: Nan's trust me, he is that bad, har baat pe punishment, kuch bolo toh he won't leave a chance to embarrass or insult you, if the run is not done on time than the whole class gas to run another lap, and if he sees that you are lazy while doing the workout then another punishment like........
Nandani: Manik clam down when the teacher does that don't oppose a lot coz that will only affect your mark, just accept the punishment or take in the insult or embarrassment....
Manik: Nan's if you would be insulted every time you spoke yo the teacher then would you shut up giving them more power??
Nandani: Manik there is no use in opposing coz they have more power as teacher and they are also given the right to give us punishments so try and take it in, like if a teacher insults me or punishes me then I take it cause I know somewhere that will benefit me
Manik: ok if you are saying it then I will try that
They finally reach the library.
When they reached they were 10 mins late and the lesson had started.
Library teacher(l.t): so finally you both decided to come after all
MaNan: sorry mam
Manik: actually we were.......
L.t: no need to explain, you both were 10 mins late, I hate it even when a student is 1 min late, so be ready for the consequences
MaNan just nodded in a yes.
L.t: just join the class for now and then come to my office
MaNan: yes mam.....sorry mam
Then in next 10 mins the lesson was done. MaNan followed l.t into her office.
L.t: so what made the two of you late
Nandani: woh actually mam we had forgotten our back-packs so we were in our dorms to get them.....
Manik: then sort of lost our track in the school......which made us late
L.t: so there are three things you both should be punished for....
Manik: but mam we only did one thing wrong.... Which was not arriv......
L.t: let me explain, first of all you went back to your dorms in between classes, second you didn't focus when the school tour was given, in which case you lost your track, and third you came late to class
MaNan: mam lekin, we weren't here when all the instructions were given
L.t: matlab???
Nandani: mam actually, firstly our train got missed coz we saw a girl who was about to get hurt very bad so.....
Manik: we rushed to catch her and in that case we lost our train and we came late in the school, so we missed out on the instructions
L.t: ok so verify the rules with your friends, and your punishment for coming late is organizing, the music shelf in the back....
Manik: ok mam
L.t: and you both are not going anywhere until that shelf is organized you get that
Manik: but mam if we don't finish then we will be late for our next class......
Nandani: so can we come after school
L.t: sure you can come now get to work
MaNan: yes mam
They went to the last book shelf.
Nandani: Manik there are the boxes lest get started, since you are tall organize the upper shelves
Manik: ok sure Nans
Nandani started the with the smaller pile of boxes.
Manik: you know what Nans......
Nandani: what Manik
Manik: I never thought that a girl like you would be so much into technology......
Nandani: what do you mean a "girl like me????"
Manik: a studied focus girl
Nandani: well when I was younger, when I didn't get any homework or somthing like that I would check the Internet and then I got pretty comfortable with the net so yaa....
Manik: nice that good......
Nandani: I can already guess why you are so much into technology
Manik: matlab????
Nandani: I mean isn't it pretty obvious, a jock not so good in studies, loves music, wants be cool with all the teachers, the hottie of the.................
Nandani just realized what she called Manik, and suddenly turned around to start with another pile of boxes and unknowingly she turned towards Manik and slipped on a paperback book, before she could fall, a hard grip had her back........... It was no other then Manik Malhotra........ they just shared a long.....say about 5 mins.........eye lock.... Both were just lost.........they didn't wanted to get distracted.....Manik was just feeling awkward, but somewhere down the line he......actually.... Wanted this....Nandani was feeling......more then comfortable in his embrace........she could see the innocence in his eyes something.......that she never expected to see......when both the thoughts were distracted by.....ummm lemme see.........find out yourselves.........
L.t: uhem mm.... Tum dono ka fall and catch game khatam hogaya ho toh, can you get back to work
MaNan: sorry mam, woh.....actually......you can talk .....
Nandani: mam woh actually..... I slipped and Manik just wanted to help me
L.t: ok know back to work
MaNan nodded in a yes. The teacher left.
Manik: hey Nans are you okay????
Nandani: yeah Manik chill I'm fine
Manik: now......you don't......ummm..... Mind me calling you Nans right????😍
Nandani: well first it used to bother me a lot........but....now.......that......ummmm.... I am.........ummmm........your.......fri......friend I don't really mind....so ya
Manik: friends😍😍😍
Nandani: yeah I mean we talk get a long well, have thing in common, soooo I guess this is called friendship...... Mr. Manik Malhotra
Just then the bell ringed. MaNan went to the teacher's office.
MaNan: mam we will come after school
L.t: ok but don't forget
MaNan just nodded in a yes motion as they didn't have a choice. They dashed out of the library and met friends.
Alya: hey guys
MaNan: hello
Nandani: so where are you headed to???
Alya: another business class 😔, and you
Nandani: I am headed for science
Dhruv: Manik....... Are you headed for gym😅😉
Manik: yes buddy, but you don't have to laugh ok, I am cool 😎 with the teacher
Cabir: ya right Manik, I saw you at theory😉 how "COOL" you were with the teacher
Manik: anyways muhje pata hai ke tum logo ka yeh nai paté ga so later alligators
With that Manik left.
Nandani: guys I am getting late catch you in the halls or after school😉😊
And with that she left as well, the three of them also left as they didn't want to be late.
2 Hours Later After School
Nandani reached the library and was waiting for Manik, for the last 15 mins.
Nandani: yeh Manik kaha reh gaya......did he forget????..........nononono.........ek toh uske wahje se mein apne class ke liyé late hogi....... Punishment bhi lené ke liye tiyar hogi.......lekin ye toh uske hi duniya mein hai......... I should have known uske jesé ladke esi hi hoté hai........irresponsible........spoilt brats.......egoistic..........showoff........hummmm😡😡😢😒😤
Manik heard her while she was "talking to herself". Manik just took her hand and pinned her yo the wall........
Manik: what did you say bcoz of me.........you......missed your class😏.......
Nandani: Manik......wwww......ooo...hhhhh........ummmmm......it's not.......that .....I .......blame you fully......but.....I
Manik: and what do you mean.....by ...........mere....jese.......guys...hummm...???????
Nandani: Manik......I ........meant......by........that......ummmmm..........that.........
Manik: and....you......said......me.....irresponsible.....spoilt.....brat......and......showoff
Nandani: Manik.....don't......you......think.....that.....we.....should......get to work
Manik: humari bonding kitni achi hai..........I was about to get to that......when you read my mind.....Nans
Nandani: Manik you know that......I hate your nickname for me......so don't call me Nans ok 😡
Manik started observing her as if she came from another planet.
Nandani: Manik yeh kya kar rahe ho?????? I had a doubt, but after this act I am positive that you came to the world with........ God knows what sickness...
Manik: nai I was observing that........is this the same Nandani who was saying "ki Manik....I think we are good friend" in the afternoon
Nandani: uska matlab yeh thodi na ki you can call ur friend anything ur heart desires....u should understand a friend......likes and dislikes......you know
Manik: theek hai just tell me......itni excite kyu ho rahi ho?????
Nandani: have you ever heard "less talk more work", time to execute the "quote", let's get working
Manik: oooo......kkkkk
So they are are shelving all the books just when......Manik saw Nandani trying to get a box out of her reach ( we all know how "tall" our Nandu is) so Manik goes to help her when.....ouch....the box full of book gave too much pressure on his one arm and he broke it
Manik: ouch........sh** this hurts
Nandani: hurt to hoga hi na Manik......let me see.......
She see what happens......she has got some knowledge......so she checked and concluded that he might have a fracture.......then she first informed the teacher and they rushed him to the sick room.....they got there.......the doc started checking and Manik cried in a bit of pain
Doc: he has broken his arm bone, we have to take him to the hospital for proper treatment.......and the doctor their will tell us how much time it will take for him to recover
So Nandani and the principal take him to the hospital, he gets his cast put on.
Doctor: he will recover in 4 weeks, till then Manik, no sports or carrying heavy stuff
Manik: but what will I do most of my courses are sports, I barely have any study subjects
Pricipal: Manik I think we can change that, instead of all sports pick all study
Manik was in his own thoughts when he remembered.......
Manik: doc my guitar, don't tell me I won't be able to play it???? Plzz
Doctor: right on the dot, you won't be able to sorry, but you have to get better ASAP
Manik just nodded, the principal and doctor went out and dicussed somethings. Meanwhile Nandani and Manik.........
Nandani: Manik I am sooo sorry, this happened coz of me.... If I havent tired to......get that box......this all
And our emotional Nandu, had tears in her eyes and was crying while Manik was just wondering..........lagi toh muhje hai phir.......yeh kyu rorahi hai......Galti sirif uski nai thi........I am more responsible for this damage in my arm.......... She shouldn't just blame herself for all this....
Manik: Nandani this wasn't your fault more than you it was mine....... I should have been more careful Dan I knew that was higher then my reach, I should used a stool, please Nandani don't blame yourself
Nandani stopped crying and hugged Manik, as she wanted a supportive, caring and loving hug very bad, confused Manik decided to hug, he knew that Nandani needed someone hug very tight, someone who she knew won't let go. Manik always confused when ever he was with Nandani....... He felt different...... He felt.....ummm..... Well complete ........he felt protected.......he felt ........a .......ball .........of .......sparkle inside of him ............when he hugged Nandani he knew his mind didn't decide that......his .......heart did and he....being a person...... Who doesn't really.......care which one decides........this time.........he actually..........cared...........that his hearts makes all the decisions........he needs to.......make against Nandani's reactions........he his still confused which kind.......of........feeling is .......this........is it good for him.........should he take the decision......or.......did he realize what the.......ball.....of ........sparkle was pointing towards.......is.......it .........ummmmm.....true...........
Nandani snapped him out of his chain of thoughts........but Manik being Manik was not going to back out of answering his questions.......
Nandani: Manik where are yo??? Come out of Manik world
Manik: huh........ohh kuch nai
Nandani: so Manik Abhi this one night you have to stay in the hospital and see you next morning
They waved him a good bye.
