I retrieved my arm from their grip. For a girl, she had a surprising strong grasp. "Can I help you with something?
"Actually, you can," she began, "you can help me by staying away from Hunter because he's mine. You just want what I have." When she said that I just laughed in her face. I looked at her square in the face. "What makes you think I want to be near him?" I said with an attitude, "What makes me think that I want what you have? You think that everyone wants to be you? That's absolutely hilarious because nobody wants to be you."
I was so fed up with Rachel's bullshit that I just let everything out. I didn't hold back. "You're rude, snobby, stuck up, conceded, a bitch. Shall I continue because the list can go on and on till the day you die. So if you think that I want him or anything that correlates back to you, well honey you are mistaken." I had nothing more to say to her. I was so done. I closed my locker and headed for the exit, proud. I was proud that I have finally stuck for myself. It was well overdue.
As I was walking away she yelled something down the hall. "You're just a jealous bitch!"
"Well maybe if you took your head out of your ass then you would see that you're only talking about yourself and that I couldn't give to shits about what you say or do." I finished before walking out the double doors. I had a smile plastered on my face. I felt a little relief. The world around me felt a little lighter. I glided towards my car before I noticed that he was standing it.
"First your girlfriend, now you?" I stated annoyed. "What could you possibly want?" I asked not really looking for answer.
The way he was moving and trying to put sentences together made it completely noticeable that he was nervous, but for what reason? We were no longer friends, he ruined that. "Brooke. I-I miss you." he stumbled out, "I miss you so much! I miss our friendship. I miss talking to you every day. I miss how we were able to make any little thing an adventure. Make little jokes into hilarious ones. No one has ever-" he ranted before I cut in.
"There's no point in you finishing because there is nothing you could say that would make you change how I feel about you." I know I was being a bitch, but it was time that I started standing up for myself instead of allowing people to walk all over me. I was tired of it. Enough is enough! It just sucked that someone you were infatuated treated you like complete shit. And to make it worse, them not knowing you ever liked them.
He tried to say something else, but I wasn't having it. "Brooke please you don't understand!"
"But I do understand Hunter!" I said raising my voice." You treated me like I was nothing! You treated me like I was something that came off the streets. How did you expect me to react? I wasn't gonna just roll over and pretend that everything was okay when it wasn't." I said with a sore throat from trying to hold back the tears. I threw my hands up in defeat before walking over to the drivers side and opening the door. "You just don't understand. I liked you," was the last thing I said before getting inside and driving off leaving him alone in the school parking lot.
"But I do understand." he quietly said, "I like you too, a lot!"

It's been a month since I've spoken to Hunter and his satan girlfriend Rachel. I thought about him all the time. I wanted to forgive him, but was I ready to forget all the crap he did to me? I didn't know. I shook my head in frustration. This was a whole bunch of shit I didn't need to be in. I found myself wondering the halls more often than usual. I had a lot on my mind. I just wish I had someone to talk to. I mean of course I have my friends and family, but none of them were the ones I wanted to talk to for this certain situation. At this very moment I wanted my dad. He was the go to guy when I had a problem. He would listen to my problems. The first thing he would ask me was, "Is it really something that you should be upset about?" Of course the immature little girl I was would say, "Yes daddy it is!"
