 Chapter 2 - Bella

Bella awoke to the honking of a car. The noise echoed from one ear to the other. Bella rolled off the bed, annoyed that Mitt, he boyfriend, had to be so impatient. Couldn't he see a girl needed to be woke up softly?

A few minutes later she was out the door with a Coke in her hand. Mitt honked the horn again. Bella yelled, "I'm coming, so stop the honking." Mitt rolled his eyes and shifted his weight.

Bella knew Mitt could be annoying, but she loved him and all his quirks. Bella loved the way his red hair fell into his eyes, leaving them hidden from everyone. Bella personally knew his eyes were hazel. Bella loved the fact that she was one of the few who knew that personal secret.

Mitt said, bored and indifferently, "Look, we need to talk."

What was he going to say? Bella wondered, listening to the swish of her Coke shifting around in the bottle. Maybe he cancelled the dinner date on Friday at Subway. . . "What do we need to talk about, Mitt, my adorable boyfriend?"

Mitt ruffled his hair back and said, "We aren't going to work."

Belola was shocked. Maybe she didn't hear him right. "Wait. . . What did you say?"

"I said we aren't going to work," Mitt said loudly and slowly.

"But why!" Bella gasped.

"Let's just say that you only care about your stupid Coke. It's like you're addicted."

Bella felt a tear fall from her tear duct. Bella didn't know that he felt like that. Well, if he didn't like her Coke, then he had to go. "If you are going to be that way, we are over!" she yelled.

Bella got out of the car and slammed the door with a bang. Bella went inside to cry her guts out.

Finally, Bella's tears dried up. Bella couldn't believe Mitt and her were over. What was Bella to do without her Mitt? She would miss the way he drove. When Mitt drove, he made it feel like a roller coaster. No, she couldn't think about him anymore.

Bella grabbed the doorknob and went out into the blinding sunlight. Bella's feet hit the pavement hard and fast. It was time to move on from her precious Mitt.

Bella walked to Texaco, the nearest gas station, and opened the door. The owner of Texaco looked at her with a weird look. The owner, Noah, said, "Here again to get some Coca-Cola?"

Bella was annoyed; how did he know the reason she was here? Bella ignored Noah and went to get some Coke and water. Bella thought, I bet he wasn't expecting that. She bought her Coke and water and walked out of the door.

As soon as she was outside, Bella threw the water out into the nearest garbage can. She opened the Coke and inhaled it in one breath.
