"I need a... Favor," Blade tells Robin.
"I am not committing a crime with you," Robin answers putting his foot down.
"Relax. All you have to do is sneak an associate of mine into Bruce's next party," Blade answers.
"That's it?" Robin asks slightly relieved he didn't ask to help burry a body or kill someone.
"Yes that's it. She doesn't speak much English so it's hard for her to ask for these things herself. And she just wants to be able to start her life over," Blade makes up on the spot. She knows she is going to be the one to sneak in but Robin won't help if he knows that. Eventually he will have enough of her and she will either have to reveal his identity which she never actually wanted to do or leave the city. And she's not ready to leave just yet. This might be one of her last big jobs though, so that time is coming.
"Fine. I'll sneak her onto the guest list. What's her name?" Robin asks crossing her arms.
"Anastasia Romanoff," Blade tells him.
"Fine. She will need an ID," Robin comments.
"That's not a problem. She should have her visa," Blade answers. "Well then. I guess I'll see you around wonder boy. Thanks for the help."
Robin only makes a 'tch' noise until Blade's back is turned and he smiles but only a small one.
*time skip to the day of the party*
Tara is sitting outside on the lawn of Gotham Academy with Dick and Barbara reading a book.
"Ugh! I wish you guys could come to the party tonight. I can't believe your going out of town for the long weekend, Tara. And you Barbara! Your dad is going to be there! Why did you have to go and get grounded again. I am going to be so bored. I'll have to deal with rich people's snobby rich kids," Richard says falling back into the grass.
"In case you didn't notice you are a snobby rich kid," Tara comments with a smile. Richard snatches the book out of Tara's hand forcing her to give him a death glare.
"I am not snobby. These kids were born into the upper class, I was just randomly placed there after having to leave the circus. I can live with a whole lot less," Richard says opening Tara's book and pretending to read it.
Tara takes the book back and puts it into her bag, "Could you go back to that life if you ever got the chance?" She asks seriously all of a sudden.
"If I got the chance?" Richard asks noticing the seriousness in her voice. "It would be a little weird but I would love the opportunity to go back and be a member of the circus again. Especially if my family was there with me." Richard answers this and then smiles. "Why do you ask?"
"I was just curious," Tara says staring off into the distance at nothing in particular, then she mumbles, "I don't think I ever could, not at this point."
* Later that night*
Tara fixes her blonde wig and adds some final touches to her makeup, including putting in contacts to make her eyes look blue. She is wearing a tight fitting black and white dress, black stockings, high heels, and a faux fur coat.
She decides to get one of those fancy cabs. If she pays in cash then it can't be tracked as easily if she had driven herself or gotten a 'friend' to drive her. She packs some handy tools that she developed as Blade for her get away and took her gun. She wasn't exactly sure how she was going to do this but she had to try. She considered three possibilities. First, she pick pockets until she has enough, but that would take forever. Second, she just has a hold up, which she isn't against since its so opposite from Blades style Robin might not realize we are the same person. Third, I wait until after the party and steal the funds, but she decided she rather not steal from charity. Showing up without the money is not even an option, not at her stage in the game.
