Johnny Cade
"Hey, do you wanna go on a walk?" Johnny asked you.
"Sure." you said, following him to the counter to pay for your things.
"Want me to take one of those?" Johnny asked, referring to one of the bags.
"He's quite the gentlemen." Sodapop interrupted from behind the counter, a teasing grin on his face.
"Lay off, Sodapop." Johnny said, rolling his eyes.
"Who's the girl, Johnny Cake?"
"I'm (Y/N)," you told him, smiling.
"Nice to meet you, (Y/N). Johnny here is a real nice guy."
"Alright Soda, that's enough." Johnny smiled, grabbing your arm gently to guide you away.
"See ya later, Johnny!" Sodapop called.
You laughed, leaving the DX with him.
"Your friend Sodapop seems nice." you told Johnny.
"Yeah - the whole gang is, really." he told you. "C'mon, I'll walk you home."
The two of you walked to the lot, but you didn't stop. You rounded a couple corners and made your way down your street before arriving at your house.
"Thanks for walking me home, Johnny Cake." you said, laughing at the nickname.
"Aw, shut up." Johnny laughed, looking down at the floor. "Hey, uh...do you wanna..." you watched the tips of his ears redden while he hesitated, "Do you wanna go on a date sometime? I mean, I don't really have the cash to go anywhere great but-"
You leaned in to kiss his cheek to stop him rambling, "Johnny, I'd love to. I don't care where we go." you smiled.
Darry Curtis
You had been seeing Darry regularly over the past couple weeks. He'd walk by your house sometimes, and you'd be out in your front yard, so he'd stop and talk to you if he wasn't too busy. He was a real nice guy, and you were starting to get a crush on him. You saw Ponyboy often too. If he and Darry had been arguing, he'd go to the lot, but then know better than to stay there for too long, and so he'd walk to your house instead.
"How's it going?"
You looked up from the flowers in your yard to see Darry, leant up against your fence. "Oh, hey stranger." you smiled.
"Can we talk?" he asked you.
"Sure, come on in."
He opened up the gate and followed you up your porch into your house. Once inside, he sat down on the couch while you got him a glass of chocolate milk from the fridge. Turns out, he liked it just as much as you did.
"So, what's the matter?" you asked, sitting on the couch beside him.
"Oh, nothing's wrong - I just had something to ask you."
"Okay, well go ahead."
"Well, I just wanted to ask if you'd like to go with me to the Dingo one night this week."
"What, on a date?" you asked.
"Well, it doesn't have to be a date...I mean if you want-"
"Dar, it's okay," you smiled, placing your hand on top of one of his, "I'd love to go on a date with you."
Ponyboy Curtis
You and Ponyboy had been reading to each other for going on an hour. You were still lying on the grass, but Pony had since settled down beside you, holding the book in the air above him. Every now and again when Pony turned the page, his arm would knock yours lightly, and you'd smile.
"Hey, (Y/N)?" Pony asked, closing the book and laying it on his chest.
"Somethin' on your mind?"
"I was wonderin'..." he stopped.
You laughed, "Go on," you encouraged, "you were wonderin' what?"
"Look, you're a real nice girl, real pretty and smart. I was wonderin' if you'd maybe wanna go out some time...on a date, y'know, with me."
You laughed again, rolling your eyes at his nerves, "Ponyboy, of course I'd go on a date with you."
He let out a sigh of relief, smiling at you.
"Alright. Well, what d'ya say I pick you up this Saturday, we can catch a movie, go on a walk or somethin'?"
"Yeah, that sounds real nice."Sodapop Curtis
"Hey, (Y/N). Wait up!" Soda called, running out of the DX after you.
You turned to face him, and you saw a huge smile on his face as he leant up on a newspaper stand. That boy could make anything look like something out of a photo shoot.
"Hey, Sodapop." you said, smiling right back at him, "What's up?"
"I just wanted to ask you something." he said.
"Oh, sure."
"Alright," he said, taking a deep breath, "I think you're real sweet, and I want to take you on a date."
Your cheeks turned pink and you laughed, "Thanks, Soda. I would love to go on a date with you."
"See you later then - I'll pick you up at seven."
"Okay." you smiled, hesitant to leave.
Sodapop leaned in and pressed a kiss to your cheek, smiling as he pulled away.
"Bye, Sodapop."
Two-Bit Mathews
"So what's a girl like you doing shoplifting?" Two-Bit asked.
"Girl like me, huh? What's that supposed to mean?" you challenged
"You didn't let me finish - what's a girl like you doing shoplifting alone?"
You smiled.
"C'mon." he said, grabbing your arm.
"Where are we going?"
"I'm taking you on a date." he said matter-of-factly.
"I don't recall you asking."
"I didn't need to. You would've said yes anyway - you were practically begging." he teased.
You didn't argue - you would've said yes. So, you let him drag you away, both of you laughing as he did.
Steve Randle
"I'm impressed, you got that Soc pretty good." Steve said, grinning at you.
You smiled, "Thanks, it's about time they laid off." you said.
"Too right." he agreed. He seemed to get nervous all of a sudden as he reached up to scratch the back of his neck. I watched as his facial expression changed while he remained silent.
"Everything okay, Steve?" you asked him.
"Yeah." he promised, his hand falling back to his side. "Hey, what d'ya say I take you out one day?"
You were a little shocked, but you knew Steve wasn't anywhere close to the Socs', and besides, he stuck up for you. It wouldn't hurt to say yes.
"Oh, sure. That'd be fun." you smiled.
Steve smiled back at you, and began listing off a couple ideas for your date.
Dallas Winston
You and Dallas had ended up pretty drunk, and you asked him to walk you home. To your surprise, he did.
You clutched his arm tightly as you used him to keep you standing. You were both equally drunk, but you didn't handle it as well as Dallas did.
It took forever to get to your house, and you had almost fallen down, but Dallas had caught you before you could. He'd help you regain your balance, and you'd be giggling your head off.
"Thanks for walking me home, Dallas." you said when you got to your door.
"You gonna invite me in?" he asked.
"Sure." you smiled. You knew you wouldn't let him anywhere near you in that kinda way, but you thought it would be fun to play him a little.
You lead him up the stairs to your room, taking a couple of stumbles as you did. In your room, you stripped your clothes and threw on some others, knowing Dallas was watching you from your bed. You crawled into bed next to him and turned on your side
"Night."
Dallas groaned and rolled his eyes, realising what you were doing, and you went to sleep with a smile on your face.
