"Ready for it all."
Markell
It's been two weeks since the death of Ms. C and things are slowly starting to get back to normal. Since everything happened Kim quite her job and took the role of the new foster mother.
Tyra and I are good, but I know I been a little distant. I've just been focused on finding Rez and making sure everybody straight. Everyday it's eating me up inside and I don't know how much more I can take.
This is all my fault. Rez and the shooting.
It's my fault.
I killed her and got Jamal shoot.
If I had never did that game with Rez, none of this would have happened. I should have listened when Anna told me not to do this game.
So I gotta do what I gotta do in order for her to rest in peace and so I can get rid of some of the guilt eating me up inside. I gotta live with this for the rest of my life man.
I got a text from Cortez asking me to meet up so we can discuss what we gonna do with Rez.
I pulled up to his three story house admiring it. Cortez came from money. His parents were both big time lawyers. I never understood why he always came to my part of town when he had all this. He said the lifestyle fit him better. He wasn't into the flashy shit.
I knocked on the door and it was opened by an Hispanic maid.
"Ola may I help you sir?" She looked me up and down.
"I'm here for Cortez."
"Oh señor Cortez is right up stairs, I'll get him for you. Please come in."
She ushered me to the living room and I sat down on the couch. This shit was amazing. There were fancy paintings all over the walls, which were all white. Each painting and wall decoration was trimmed in gold. I was faced with a huge flat screen and two statues on each side. Even the coffe table was laced in gold. I was stitting on the most comfortable couch I ever felt. The silky pillows coushend my back like a marshmallow.
"Kell wassup man?"
I stood up and dapped him.
"Not shit, so what you got for me?"
"Damn I don't get a, how are you or a wassup?" We chuckled
"Man I got too much going on around me, my bad but I just wanna get this info and head back out to Tyra."
"Ok ok." He held his hands up. "Follow me." We walk up the staircase then down the hallway to his bedroom.
"How is Tyra anyway, you know since she been back"
"She good man."
"That's good." There was something in his eyes that I couldn't quit figure out, but I ignored it.
"You really got a good one this time."
"I know." I half smiled.
"Aight now let's get down to business, my connect tells me that Rez was spotted down here a couple days ago the visit his mom."
