"Are you ready for this?..."

Greenville Mall|1:03pm|

Tyra

"I wonder what's up with Ms.C she's been acting weird lately." Heaven said munching on a fresh crispy french fry.

Me and Markell drove here so I could visit Heaven on her lunch break. Trevor came up here once he found out Kell was here, so they ran off. So now it was just me and Heav at the food court talking about any and everything.

I sighed and took my napkin wiping my fingers.

"I think I might have an answer for that ."

"What do you mean?"

"You remember the day Kell took me on our first date?"

She nodded taking a bite of her burger.

"Well we kinda stayed out all night and Ms.Carol found out so when we got back home her and Markell had a heated argument and...he kinda said some hurtful stuff to her."

"I should kick his ass. After every thing she does for all of us. I don't care what the situation was, no one disrespects Ms.C."

"Heav I know, I know I feel bad too even though I didn't say the hurtful things."

"Did he apologize?"

"Yes he's been trying to for weeks, but she won't hear him out, she's still hurt."

"Well he needs to fix it Tyra, talk to him or I will."

I simply nodded

"Anyway how does it feel to be Ms.Jones."

"Shut up." I laughed

It's been 5 months since I told Markell I would give us a chance it's it's been great. We're still taking things slow though. It feels good to be wanted, this is a feeling I never want to let go. Sometimes I feel like I rushed this a little, but when two people are feeling each other they take risk right?

"But for real, you seem happier Ty."

"Really?"

"Yeah you smile more, and carry a more confident spirit."

Me and confidence would not have been in the same sentence a few months ago. This is all so surreal.

"Girl don't get all deep, but yeah I do feel a little changed its just that..."

"I'm waiting."Heaven said

"Markell is my first boyfriend." I said not making eye contact

Heaven bust out laughing, and wiped the tear that streamed down her face.

"Tyra that's nothing to be ashamed of, Trevor is just my second boyfriend. We can't be out her hoeing around like the rest of the girls around here."

"I guess-

"Guess what?" Markell said sitting in the chair next to mines putting his arm around my shoulder. Trevor did the same to Heaven.

"Nothing, stay out of grown folks business." Me and Heaven laughed

"Mane Whatever." Markell waved us off.

"Yall my lunch break is almost over, I have to get back to work soon."
