Sitting in my cubicle at work I over heard a few of my coworkers talking I walked over to see what they were discussing. "I'm telling you girl they be getting paid to shake their behind in front of cameras." (One of them said) What y'all talking about over here? Later that evening I was picking K up from the nursery when I bumped into this guy,he was picking up his nephew.Oh,my bad I was glued to my phone.(I let out a nervous chuckle) "No It was my fault for assuming you would look up in time" This man was foineeee,dressed really nice and smelled so good! "My name is Kyle." (He said as he goes for a handshake) "Helloo!" Oh,umm s-sorry m-my name is Pocah. (I said snapping out of the fantasy I had just had with him in my head) "Well it was nice meeting you miss Pocah...enjoy the rest of your day."Thanks,you too! As I was walking back to my car with Kailey Kyle came driving back in the parking lot. "I forgot his lunch box do you mind standing right here with him for a second while I go run and get it?" No...not all,go get it. (He came back slightly sweaty with shortness in breath) "Thank you Pocah,heyyy little cutie.) (He said pinching K's cheek) No problem It was nothing."Hey,let me take you for lunch or coffee sometime?" Wow, umm...ok.(we exchanged numbers) "Are you free tomorrow,say around two o'clock? Later that night I was in bed watching tv with K,my phone went off,it was a text from Kyle,he wanted to know if I was bringing Kailey along tomorrow because he would still have his nephew. I thought about it for a minute,I wasn't sure I was ready to have K around another man yet. I decided to go away.Am I doing the right thing? I got a knock on the door,it was Drew,he just came to chill with me and K for a bit. "Hey my little rascal,miss unc?" (K jumps up and goes to him) "Sup Poc!" Chilling,what's up with you? "Nothing much,got an interview on Friday,I'm excited about that." Omg...really,that's great little bro! So...I got a question. If you were me would you take K out on a date with a guy that's not Jamal? "Wait you bout to go on a date with someone other than Jamal...with Kailey too? I don't believe you,what happened with JAmal?" Well,Jamal got somebody else pregnant so I think I can go out with who I please. "Hold up Jamal got another chick knocked up? Yo that's messed up!" Yea,I know that's why I'm asking you this question. Would you take her? "I mean it depends on how soon it is,how long have you bin seeing this guy?" I know it sounds crazy but he,s bringing his nephew along that's the only reason he asked me to bring her,I guess he didn't want to cancel and I like that. You know what never mind I got this. (At that time K was knocked out already) Jamal gave her a kiss and played her down in the bed.As he was leaving he turned around and said..."Oh yeah,don't let Jamal see you guys haha!" (I laughed) I don't know how Jamal would react to seeing something like that but I didn't really care. It was the following day me and Kyle planned on meeting up at the kids school then we would all head out in his car. "Dont you look beautiful Miss Pocah,and little Kailey,pretty like mommy." Up at a park but not just any park,this park had everything a kid could dream of even I got excited when we pulled up."I'm sorry I know this we were suppose to grab some coffee or something but figured since the kids are here we could do something where they can enjoy themselves aswell,you dont mind dont you?" No...no thats what I was thinking...its fine with me. We sat down by a table,K and Jordan was so hypnotized by all the swings and slides and stuff they didn't stay to the table long.It turned out to be a great date,I found out his job was simular to mine,hes 25,no kids,lives alone and single.Could this be the begging of a fresh start for me?
