Attempt after attempt, Rin doesn't seem to notice Nitori. He's losing hope of his senpai ever noticing him. Should he give up, or will senpai finally notice?

Ai lay back on his head, hands resting behind his head. He gently closed his large eyes and listened to Rin's shuffling on the bunk below him.

How long had they been sharing a room now?

He counted four weeks.

The grey haired boy sighed. He went back and remembered all of his attempts at getting Rin to notice him and his feelings. He cringed slightly at some of them, but a lot of them made him smile.

One specific time was when Nagisa had made Nitori go out and buy a maid's dress. It was beautiful. Black, slimming, a perfectly white apron. He bought a cute little red bow for his head and thigh highs that stayed up suprizingly well.

Nitori remembered staring at his reflection in the store's changing room, a smile on his face. He twirled and held onto the sides of the skirt with the tips of his fingers, giggling at Nagisa's whooping and whistling.

It was all fun and games until reality came crashing back down. He felt nervous the entire drive back to the dorms, arms holding the bag with the dress in it to his chest so tightly his knuckled were blue.

Nagisa had tried to calm him down. He really did. And Nitori loved him for it, but nothing could shake the bad feeling in his gut.

And he was right to have that bad feeling.

That night Ai walked into the room with his little dress on, his hands shaking and cheeks lit up pink. He walked to the side of the bed Rin was laying on, his back to Ai, and fiddled with his fingers, twirling the apron around them.

"R-Rin-senpai...?" Nitori whispered, his nerves getting the best of him and making his stutter.

For a few moments Nitori questioned whether he had actually said it, but when Rin groggily turned around he knew he had said it.

Rin turned onto his side and gave Nitori the look down, resting his head on his hand. He opened his half closed eyes and woke himself out of sleep, slowly adjusting to the sight in front of him.

"Ai? Is that-" He began saying, but instantly stopped.

Nitori felt his eyes water when no reaction came from Rin. He stood there and tried his best not to make eye contact, furiously fiddling with the apron now. He felt his ears heat up tremendousley (sp?) and cheeks burn like fire.

And when his knees decided they didn't want to be knees anymore, Ai ran out of the room, not even bothering to look at Rin's facial expression.

His fear of rejection, once again, got the better of him.

Ai felt his cheeks heat up at the memory of it. He covered his face with his small hands and squeezed his eyes shut.

'So embarrassing, oh my,' he thought, hoping to God Rin had forgotten about it.

Another time was a week after.

It had been a nice morning and no-one had seemed to be awake yet, so Nitori slipped on his jogging shoes and went out.

The air was crisp and cold - beautiful for jogging. He liked jogging along, loved it in fact, but when he saw Haru he sped up a little.

He had never been close to Haru, but he was a friend of Rin's, so he had to put in the effort. When he got to his side, Nitori smiled, a light blush on his cheeks.
